My crew and I have taken the, perhaps, not so practical approach and procured some literature, so we won't be too surprised as to what we should do or what we will encounter.

As for stock, that depends on each crew, does it not?

I would say I do, though admittedly I'm not as informed as I'd like. I possess some sailing experience, and I've been studying various books on the subject, but ultimately I suppose my crew and myself are going to be relying on the luck of the draw more so than anything else.

Which suits me just fine.

I'm been wondering the same thing myself. I'm a sailor but the seas I sail are out among the stars. That and even on the ocean we haven't had to use the wind to power ships for centuries.

Eh, but seriously, spend as much time as possible out on deck. And just stare at the horizon, because it's probably the only shitty thing not moving. It'll...help you settle.

Also, ginger tea. Works miracles. Actually, just stay hydrated in general.

And don't be an idiot and eat something awful before you set sail.

I've never sailed before, but some of the people coming with me have. So many different types of ships, I've never thought I'd have to learn or help to sail one. Is it really that difficult?
