Since yesterday was Mother's Day, I've been wondering how many of you are mothers? All family is important. At least, I think so. But mothers...
[Considering she has lost her mother, Haruhi feels a lot of things about the day.]
It's special, isn't it? Not that being a father is easy. [She knows that from watching her Dad struggle all of these years.] But it's not Father's Day.
So...
Tell me about your mothers. And if you are a mother, I hope you're close to your children. Nothing can replace that bond.
[Uh oh, getting too serious again.]
Anyway, I know it's a little late, but let's celebrate.

I don't remember my mother but I don't think bears stick with their parents for too long.
Haruhi isn't a mother, is she?

That's a shame. Mothers can give you all sorts of good advice.
[She blushes at the question.]
...no, I'm not. Maybe some day I'll be.

[She pauses a moment and goes to speak in an even softer voice.]
Momma was one of the greatest women ever born. I hope that I can be just like her one day.

At least he had the comfort of knowing that his mom still lived. So it may take some time, but Tamaki knocks on Haruhi's door an hour after she had written in her journal.]
May I come in?

Not that she is good at comforting, but she is prepared to try.]
Come in. [She looks up from her desk and gives him a small smile.] What's the matter?
