Since yesterday was Mother's Day, I've been wondering how many of you are mothers? All family is important. At least, I think so. But mothers...

[Considering she has lost her mother, Haruhi feels a lot of things about the day.]

It's special, isn't it? Not that being a father is easy. [She knows that from watching her Dad struggle all of these years.] But it's not Father's Day.

So...

Tell me about your mothers. And if you are a mother, I hope you're close to your children. Nothing can replace that bond.

Anyway, I know it's a little late, but let's celebrate.

you know i think i will! it's been a while since we had the right kind of downtime to do some remembering. maybe the next island will be good for it.

[ he has no idea how Mako will take that idea, of course, but planning ahead isn't his strong suit anyway. Maybe he can ask Asami or something. ]

i'm glad you thought of it. we don't really have this kind of day back home. or a father's day.

i mean we never forget about them! but we don't usually have chances to just remember them and do something nice either.
