[voice/written] action for Hazmats
[the flip of a page brings sound first, a grunt and a slight ting of bells]
...there, 'course. Now where's the damn writing thing...?
[it cuts off and the rest comes in jagged handwriting, as the journal translates his Chinese script]
word of advice. don't get captured. sure, you'd say it's better than dying, but I'd beg to differ. it ain't fun. it's not an easy way out. puts your crew at risk, more than if you die. and I don't know about half of you, but I ain't lettin' some Navy ass gloat about stretching my neck on the gallows. Hell no. Never give 'em the satisfaction.
I ain't gonna ask for a recap of the last week, I can figure it out for myself. But I saw mention of a couple names of Oda's guys who I might wanna talk to. didn't know they'd be here...
~Gan Xingba
[for anyone on the Booyakasha, he's sitting out on the forecastle, writing and contemplating the open ocean. He's got a lot to think about. He's grateful for the rescue, though.]

[Akshun]
He's nibbling on a chocolate coin as he comes up onto the main deck, but he starts over towards Gan Ning once he notices the guy sitting there.]

Hey.

[He nods back, stepping over towards the railing to lean over, watching the waters splash against the front of the ship below them. Just gonna peel the foil off of another chocolate coin, here.]
If you're hungry, think there's pizza down in the galley still, last I checked.

[to say nothing of those chocolate coins there]

How are you familiar with the Oda?
[Written]
[Written]
[That... would not be good if it was true. For one that values freedom over all else, the idea of being passed about by more powerful beings and being forced to do their dirty work for only the possibility of returning home is nothing short of disgusting.]
In any case, you should know that you'll find no allies of the Oda here. Both Akechi and the ChÅsokabe he sails with were brought here after the Incident at HonnÅji, where Akechi rebelled against and killed Nobunaga. In the world they're from, ChÅsokabe supported him and was at his side during the incident. As for any other names you might recognize from our time period, only Ieyasu was ever allied with the Demon King, and that was a long time ago.

Um. Hey.
[Action]
Hey, kid. Glad to see you made it out of the fight okay.
[Action]
Oh, yeah! Mostly. Having a few bruises and scratches is the norm, right?
