word of advice. don't get captured. sure, you'd say it's better than dying, but I'd beg to differ. it ain't fun. it's not an easy way out. puts your crew at risk, more than if you die. and I don't know about half of you, but I ain't lettin' some Navy ass gloat about stretching my neck on the gallows. Hell no. Never give 'em the satisfaction.

I ain't gonna ask for a recap of the last week, I can figure it out for myself. But I saw mention of a couple names of Oda's guys who I might wanna talk to. didn't know they'd be here...

He's nibbling on a chocolate coin as he comes up onto the main deck, but he starts over towards Gan Ning once he notices the guy sitting there.]

I think that I feel sorry for you and that I cannot even begin to imagine the horrors of being captured by an unfeeling enemy!

[Ordinarily, Magoichi wouldn't have paid much mind to an entry like this; to avoid being captured by the Navy wasn't something that really needed to be said to anyone with a modicum of sense. But the mention of her greatest enemy from someone that she doesn't immediately recognize is enough to capture her attention.]

kind of a long story, involving a snake demon and meeting them in another world kinda like this one. his guys saved my bacon not too long ago, so I was fighting on his side for a bit before I ended up here.

[That... would not be good if it was true. For one that values freedom over all else, the idea of being passed about by more powerful beings and being forced to do their dirty work for only the possibility of returning home is nothing short of disgusting.]

In any case, you should know that you'll find no allies of the Oda here. Both Akechi and the Chōsokabe he sails with were brought here after the Incident at Honnōji, where Akechi rebelled against and killed Nobunaga. In the world they're from, Chōsokabe supported him and was at his side during the incident. As for any other names you might recognize from our time period, only Ieyasu was ever allied with the Demon King, and that was a long time ago.

Was that the Navy's goal once you were captured, to see you and your crew hang on the gallows? I wondered if any sort of mercy or amnesty might have been offered to those unfortunate enough to find themselves guests of the Navy. Maybe you can tell me?

mercy? hah! the only mercy I could see was not beatin' me down any further. they were going to hang me, for sure. didn't even really get an audience, but then, I did try to kill as many of their guys as I could before they could sink our ship, so I guess that's crime enough.

But he also seems kind of grumpy and really you might just have to give him a minute before he actually manages to force any words to come out of his mouth.]
