word of advice. don't get captured. sure, you'd say it's better than dying, but I'd beg to differ. it ain't fun. it's not an easy way out. puts your crew at risk, more than if you die. and I don't know about half of you, but I ain't lettin' some Navy ass gloat about stretching my neck on the gallows. Hell no. Never give 'em the satisfaction.

I ain't gonna ask for a recap of the last week, I can figure it out for myself. But I saw mention of a couple names of Oda's guys who I might wanna talk to. didn't know they'd be here...

Here, I have no idea what it would've been.

Might've been left there to rot, or maybe that witch would've gotten bored and had us all kill each other if she felt like it. Nearly had us do so to our other crewmates before she whisked us away to her fortress.

Witch? I've heard rumblings about something like that. What happened?

Oh gods, that was a fun time.

[And by his tone, no, no it wasn't.]

Well, it started off as just some odd...feeling. And then like a voice that you couldn't ignore at the back of your mind. Somehow this witch managed to curse a bunch of us or something, all the ones brought here from other worlds. We were eventually convinced that we needed to kill our own crews- which thankfully we didn't manage to succeed in doing, aboard the other ship I used to sail with. ....came close, though.

Worse yet, we were well aware of what we were doing, but we hadn't seen it as anything wrong at the time. And then a day later, we wake up in some dark cell with only the sound of the sea to hint where we were. At that point that witch had dispelled whatever control she'd had on us, so we were completely aware of what we'd done, and it was enough to keep some of us from not trying to get out at all.

[His face grows a bit angry, hearing that. It's all too familiar.]

Mind control sorcery. Great. So I gotta keep an eye out for that around here, too.

Not to knock your experience, I'm sure it was the worst thing ever.

Normally? Nah. But I was in another world before this one. Seems like it's my lot in life to visit all kinds of worlds.

Nope. I mean, sure, it was a bit of a surprise, but not the big shock it coulda been - I already dealt with that long time ago.

I don't know if it was exactly that big of a shock for me when I got here, but it was definitely weird. Not to mention disappointing that it's so far, as good as a one-way trip.

So far as you know. That's what I thought about Orochi's dimension, though, and here I am. It's probably not so much one way as a really, really long side trip through life.

Yeah....that's probably a better way to put it. I mean, we do get a hint about how to possibly get back, but that route seems like it'll take just as long.

Probably. Ain't nothin' we can do except try it, though. As long as nobody's worked out any other possibilities, it's the only one we got. Sittin' back and doin' nothin' isn't gonna get us home, that's for sure.
