Soon it will be September again. Hn, when people started to vanish I thought there would be only a few of us left to see a second autumn in this world.

With the way some people acted when we first arrived here one would think that they didn't think that they could change at all.

[In fact some had even seemed to refuse to change at all, he's not sure how many of those remain around though.]

Can you blame them? Ripped from our homes and the lives we knew, thrown into roles we never asked for, and that many of us never wanted. The desire to cling to what we were and what we knew was... considerable.

Never blamed them, I could understand it all well. It's just that my own life hasn't been different from this, I learned at a young age that at any moment anyone can become a beggar with no choice to do but what they are forced to.

Leaving aside that you're still fairly new, with your experience there may be not much room left for extra changes. Maybe you're an exception to it all or it will take longer for changes to happen.

Actually, over the past year, before I came to this place, I had changed quite a lot.

Now that I am here, it has yet to be determined if I will change again or not. If it happens, I will not object to it.

I guess for you September would be something of a one year anniversary of when you arrived. For me it would be eleven months. Time really does fly sometimes when your sailing.

[But had she changed. She actually pauses to think about it. If one notices others changing it would mean they themselves had and she always felt like the people around her had changed. She also knew that maybe she had and that was a good thing.]

I would think most probably. I don't think you could stay here long without changing. But I didn't think about what my friends would thing if they saw me now.

As far as we're aware of, September is when the first of all us arrived here. Not that it means that we were the very first in the world, maybe there were others who had all vanished when we arrived but... Yeah, it will be a year for me soon, though you aren't that far behind from the sound of it.

[After all if what she says it's right she's an "October's child" which by now Ikki doesn't differentiate much. Those two first months are mostly a blur in his memories, when they were still too new and knew very few things.]

So do you think they wouldn't notice the changes much? Or have you just not spared much thought on the idea of them arriving here too?

Not far, but wishing I as well as everyone who was here the same time and before weren't. We've changed for the good in some ways and for the bad in others, but still. This isn't home for some and well... I know at least I get home sick.

Though you did bring up something I think is a good point. Are we really the first here or did this guy bring people before?

Oh, they would probably notice that I change, I just would get worried about what I went though to have said changes. Although I will admit I did think about them arriving after I arrived in October. But now, I don't spare the thought because I hope they never have to.

I've never thought we were the first ones, if we were it would just create questions like "why now". The jewel supposedly has been lost for a long time, enough to be considered mostly a legend, even if the shards can be proven to exist that doesn't mean that they really can be combined to create the jewel. So why would he want it to be found now?

I think it's pretty possible that there were others way before us who either catastrophically failed or did something that not even Davy Jones could ignore and were eliminated from the board. After enough time for people in this world to forget about the outsiders he could just try again.

[He would personally prefer that theory, because if not, if they are really the first ones, there may be more in game than what they think. And he hates that possibility.]

[He knows there's a talking bear out there, if he remembers correctly he was the doctor of the Straw Hats. But he wouldn't put it past this world to just transform them into animals somewhere aside from the body swapping.]

Want to go back? I wanted to go back "already" right after I arrived here. Now... Who knows?

I have to go back, there's a duty I must fulfill and people who need me. In a way it's what I want, but if I was given the power to return there at any time I wanted and stay here without time passing there, I don't know what I would do.

[A big part of him would want to stay but there's a part of him that will never shut up about his duty and the people that need him.]
