[theres the sound of a book being flung open, and then...]

what the HECK?! What'd I do, piss of Davy Jones or something? Eat some strange food? Walk through some... Cursed fairy magical stupid crap?! WHY AM I A....[he paused to look at himself again. Just what the heck is he?]

FURRY RACCOON THING?!

....urgh. I like this place but it's weird. Seriously. Whatever this crap is, it better go back to normal. Anyone in the Bloody Roses hear me? It looks like I'm on isle Empieza for some weird reason in addition to being a fuzzy freaking forest animal. I'm gonna go to the Backwater Brig and use the nav to get to the ship.

((Ooc: oh noes! Thash has swapped bodies with Yasaburo the raccoon dog shapeshifter! But he doesn't know how to shapeshift so currently he's just a raccoon dog. I...have no idea. The guy whose body I'm in told me over the journal that his body can turn into stuff, like my regular body. So I tried it when my guard fell asleep. Took a while to get it right... And I still dunno how long I can stay transformed or what kinda stuff might make me accidentally turn back into a raccoon, but...I'll keep at it and take my chances. I'm not staying in this stupid cage anymore.

Alright. Choose something or someone to turn into, and I'll come get you out of there. Unless you had another plan?

No, that'll work. And if you could somehow confuse the guard, like tell 'me you're taking a long shift and they don't have to take shifts anymore or something that'd help... The longer the guards don't figure out I'm not in the cell anymore, the better. If and when they do figure it out, maybe I can turn into Grell and tell them not to worry about it, heheh...

Okay. Give me a few minutes and I'll get there.

*Sure enough, Faye would eventually arrive and announce to the guards that since the tiny stupid-looking raccoon was obviously completely useless, that he didn't need to be guarded quite so closely anyone. It might take a minute of negoatiating, but they seemed happy enough to leave*

[Thash watched them leave, laying around in the cell lazily like the harmless forest creature he supposedly was. Once he was alone with Faye, he got up and took a few seconds to turn into a mouse and crawl thorough the bars so she didn't even have to go through the trouble of opening the door. Then, he took a few more seconds of concentration to turn into what looked just like his regular body. He turned towards her, grinning]

Heh, pretty cool, right?!

*Faye didn't much like the mouse version of him, though it was slightly more tolerable than the raccoon somehow. Perhaps because it was more normal. When he changed again, appearing just like his normal self, Faye smiled brightly and threw her arms around him in a hug*

Better!

[he returned the hug tightly, having a new appreciation for simply being outside and free and in a form where he could do something as simple as this]

Yeah, this is much better. [it certainly lifted his mood. He'd been pretty pissed off over the last day or so and hadn't even spoken with his guards much. Being locked up had brought back more bad memories than he'd care to admit, and the fact that others all over the world had been body swapped but Grell still felt it necessary to imprison him gave him a new and rather strong reason to hate her. But he didn't want to think about that anymore]

Wanna get something to eat? I'm pretty hungry.

*Faye quickly stepped back, though, putting her hands behind her back*

Maybe I shouldn't really do that. It's technically not really your body...

*She decided not to mention his hunger, despite her offer still standing from a day or two ago*

Okay. You're going to have to change again if you want to walk through the ship. Maybe unto my room? Might be easier to hide in there.

[he shrugged] I don't think this body's owner is gonna mind a simple hug or kiss. I wouldn't feel right doin' stuff like what we did on my birthday in it, though. I wouldn't want him doin' that kinda stuff in my body either.

But yeah. Your room's a good spot to hang out...guess I'll just try to look like Strider or something when I walk up on deck?

[he focused for a few moments and managed to change himself to what Dave looks like] how's this? [he had the sunglasses and everything]

*Faye pulled a face at first, agreeing that she didn't want to get too involved with either body at the moment. Then she started laughing, winking at him, feeling better now that she could at least recognise his face*

Although...two Thashs would be interesting...

*When he changed to Dave, she tilted her head, feeling somewhat concerned*

Just don't let Grell see you or you'll wind up in someone else's room.

....interesting for what? [he wasn't quite sure he liked the way she'd said that...but he was happy to have her smiling and winking at him again]

Yeah, I'll try to stay away from her for now....although I dunno if I can pass up the chance to get a little revenge on her with this body, heheh...

*She just shook her head in response, like it was no big deal. She was suggesting something that he clearly had no concept of, even as a joke*

Never mind.

Revenge?

*Faye slapped lightly at his arm, eyes widening in warning*

Oi! You better watch it or the only revenge you'll get from her is a kiss!

[he laughed lightly when she slapped his arm] don't worry, bit that kinda revenge. I wouldn't meddle in her love life; that's low. I was thinking more like...turn into her and confuse her or something. Nothing too bad obviously or she'll probably try to kill me

*Faye frowned slightly, looking uncomfortable with the idea. Given his track record with Grell, and now being held in a cell, she did worry about what shw might do if Thash did try to trick her*

Let's just get you to my room as soon as possible.

[yes, but bit wasn't his style to live in fear of someone. If he had a problem with someone usually he was very upfront about telling them so. This situation was very frustrating to him; not able to either leave or challenge Grell because he wanted to stay on the ship. He had a hard time restraining himself that much and a little prank was a tempting outlet for that frustration]

Alright, agreed. I'd like to relax somewhere other than a wood floor behind bars for a while.

Come on. I've got a bed you can relax on.

*She smiled and was about to take his hand, but she remembered who he was supposes to be. And being seen caught hand in hand with 'Dave' like that would mean certain death if she was caught by a certain someone*

Let's get there quickly.

[the same idea hit him, so he nodded quickly at her suggestion] yeah, let's go.

[he he'd head up to the deck with her, then back down to where the crew quarters were. It gave him a sort of exciting feeling of getting away with something to be doing this... He looked himself over a little bit and as far as he could tell he really did look just like Dave. Imagine the things he could do with a power like this...but no, chilling with Faye first. He was still pretty aggravated and hungry right now and he wanted to be clear headed if he did try something risky]

[soon they'd reach her room, and as soon as he was safely inside it with her, he'd focus and shift back to a body just like his again]

*With Thash back in his body, Faye couldn't help but give him another hug, and quick light kiss on his lips*

Okay. You get into bed and just relax or whatever. I'll go get some food, so long as you promise not to open the door to anyone. Anything you want in particular?

[he happily returned both, smiling]

Thanks...and yeah, I'll just pretend I don't hear it if anyone knocks. Um...well we don't have any fresh fish thanks to me being locked up but some meat would be nice. If we have any smoked stuff left, that'd be great.

[he went to go lay down with a sigh]

*So off she went, grabbing a plate full of meats, bread, snacks, then she got a bottle of water and tucked that under her arm. She pushed her bedroom door open with her back so that she could get in without dropping anything, eyes going straight to the bed to check that Thash was still there and doing okay*

Think I brought plenty but can get more if you need it.

[he sat up when she returned, looking at the food]

No, that looks great. I haven't been completely starved since I was locked up...but I probably should have eaten more. Being mad and confined tends to kill my appetite a little.

[once she put the food down he'd grab some meat and bread to munch on] so what've you been up to since yesterday? Noticed any other crew members who swapped bodies with someone?

I can't believe she has you locked up like that.

*Faye sounded pretty angry about it as she sat down, and quickly picked up some meat and cheese*

Hmm... I haven't seen anyone else, other than that guy that wasn't you. But it's all over the journals like crazy so I wouldn't be surprised if others on the ship were swapped too.

I know, me neither. Any sort of responsible captain would figure this crap out, which is NOT hard with the chatter in the journals. I think she's just doin' it cuz she hates me. Tch...whatever, feeling's mutual. Screw her.

[his tail flicked about a little in irritation, through he tried to calm himself down. It wasn't good to get all spooled up right now...but then again if he didn't vent to Faye a little, bottling it up might end up badly]

I can't stand this crap...if I didn't have a debt to Strider And if you'd come with me, I'd definitely tell her off and leave.

[he gave a short but heavy sigh] I haven't been treated like this since the last time I got captured by slavers...

I don't get it. I thought you and Grell got on much better together now... Has something happened?

*Faye lowered her eyes and chewed on some bread when he mentioned staying because of Dave. She was still sure that it was a debt that didn't need to be paid, but she didn't want to belittle it for him. She frowned when he said the last bit, looking up at him out of sadness, but mostly anger*

You know what? Fuck this. I'm going to tell her right now. Crew shouldn't locked crew behind bars. It's sick!

I thought we were starting to do better too. I actually started having a bit of respect for her when she didn't freak out about the Triton's Mistress attacking us. I was in complete agreement with her about going after slavers and helping Marco, and thought it was pretty cool she even consulted the crew about it. As far as I'm concerned this is completely uncalled for.

[he frowned irritably] and I've even been pretty chill about disliking her and trying to be respectful since the first day we met. I don't get it.

[he looked at her with a bit of alarm as she said she'd go talk to Grell] you don't have to do that...I'll talk to her myself after the bodies go back to normal, assuming that'll be soonish. I don't want to give her more reason to dislike you...
