[theres the sound of a book being flung open, and then...]

what the HECK?! What'd I do, piss of Davy Jones or something? Eat some strange food? Walk through some... Cursed fairy magical stupid crap?! WHY AM I A....[he paused to look at himself again. Just what the heck is he?]

FURRY RACCOON THING?!

....urgh. I like this place but it's weird. Seriously. Whatever this crap is, it better go back to normal. Anyone in the Bloody Roses hear me? It looks like I'm on isle Empieza for some weird reason in addition to being a fuzzy freaking forest animal. I'm gonna go to the Backwater Brig and use the nav to get to the ship.

((Ooc: oh noes! Thash has swapped bodies with Yasaburo the raccoon dog shapeshifter! But he doesn't know how to shapeshift so currently he's just a raccoon dog. This post is open to action Yasaburo, Thash, and anyone on the bloody roses who interacts with them while body swapped. Feel free to start branching threads from it where needed. *She just shook her head in response, like it was no big deal. She was suggesting something that he clearly had no concept of, even as a joke*

Revenge?

*Faye slapped lightly at his arm, eyes widening in warning*

Oi! You better watch it or the only revenge you'll get from her is a kiss!

[he laughed lightly when she slapped his arm] don't worry, bit that kinda revenge. I wouldn't meddle in her love life; that's low. I was thinking more like...turn into her and confuse her or something. Nothing too bad obviously or she'll probably try to kill me

*Faye frowned slightly, looking uncomfortable with the idea. Given his track record with Grell, and now being held in a cell, she did worry about what shw might do if Thash did try to trick her*

Let's just get you to my room as soon as possible.

[yes, but bit wasn't his style to live in fear of someone. If he had a problem with someone usually he was very upfront about telling them so. This situation was very frustrating to him; not able to either leave or challenge Grell because he wanted to stay on the ship. He had a hard time restraining himself that much and a little prank was a tempting outlet for that frustration]

Alright, agreed. I'd like to relax somewhere other than a wood floor behind bars for a while.

Come on. I've got a bed you can relax on.

*She smiled and was about to take his hand, but she remembered who he was supposes to be. And being seen caught hand in hand with 'Dave' like that would mean certain death if she was caught by a certain someone*

Let's get there quickly.

[the same idea hit him, so he nodded quickly at her suggestion] yeah, let's go.

[he he'd head up to the deck with her, then back down to where the crew quarters were. It gave him a sort of exciting feeling of getting away with something to be doing this... He looked himself over a little bit and as far as he could tell he really did look just like Dave. Imagine the things he could do with a power like this...but no, chilling with Faye first. He was still pretty aggravated and hungry right now and he wanted to be clear headed if he did try something risky]

[soon they'd reach her room, and as soon as he was safely inside it with her, he'd focus and shift back to a body just like his again]

*With Thash back in his body, Faye couldn't help but give him another hug, and quick light kiss on his lips*

Okay. You get into bed and just relax or whatever. I'll go get some food, so long as you promise not to open the door to anyone. Anything you want in particular?

[he happily returned both, smiling]

Thanks...and yeah, I'll just pretend I don't hear it if anyone knocks. Um...well we don't have any fresh fish thanks to me being locked up but some meat would be nice. If we have any smoked stuff left, that'd be great.

[he went to go lay down with a sigh]

*So off she went, grabbing a plate full of meats, bread, snacks, then she got a bottle of water and tucked that under her arm. She pushed her bedroom door open with her back so that she could get in without dropping anything, eyes going straight to the bed to check that Thash was still there and doing okay*

Think I brought plenty but can get more if you need it.

[he sat up when she returned, looking at the food]

No, that looks great. I haven't been completely starved since I was locked up...but I probably should have eaten more. Being mad and confined tends to kill my appetite a little.

[once she put the food down he'd grab some meat and bread to munch on] so what've you been up to since yesterday? Noticed any other crew members who swapped bodies with someone?

I can't believe she has you locked up like that.

*Faye sounded pretty angry about it as she sat down, and quickly picked up some meat and cheese*

Hmm... I haven't seen anyone else, other than that guy that wasn't you. But it's all over the journals like crazy so I wouldn't be surprised if others on the ship were swapped too.

I know, me neither. Any sort of responsible captain would figure this crap out, which is NOT hard with the chatter in the journals. I think she's just doin' it cuz she hates me. Tch...whatever, feeling's mutual. Screw her.

[his tail flicked about a little in irritation, through he tried to calm himself down. It wasn't good to get all spooled up right now...but then again if he didn't vent to Faye a little, bottling it up might end up badly]

I can't stand this crap...if I didn't have a debt to Strider And if you'd come with me, I'd definitely tell her off and leave.

[he gave a short but heavy sigh] I haven't been treated like this since the last time I got captured by slavers...

I don't get it. I thought you and Grell got on much better together now... Has something happened?

*Faye lowered her eyes and chewed on some bread when he mentioned staying because of Dave. She was still sure that it was a debt that didn't need to be paid, but she didn't want to belittle it for him. She frowned when he said the last bit, looking up at him out of sadness, but mostly anger*

You know what? Fuck this. I'm going to tell her right now. Crew shouldn't locked crew behind bars. It's sick!

I thought we were starting to do better too. I actually started having a bit of respect for her when she didn't freak out about the Triton's Mistress attacking us. I was in complete agreement with her about going after slavers and helping Marco, and thought it was pretty cool she even consulted the crew about it. As far as I'm concerned this is completely uncalled for.

[he frowned irritably] and I've even been pretty chill about disliking her and trying to be respectful since the first day we met. I don't get it.

[he looked at her with a bit of alarm as she said she'd go talk to Grell] you don't have to do that...I'll talk to her myself after the bodies go back to normal, assuming that'll be soonish. I don't want to give her more reason to dislike you...

Someone needs to tell her that she's out of order, though. I know she's the captain, but that doesn't mean she can do whatever the hell she wants to people. Not when it makes them feel like this.

*Faye shook her head irritably and bit into a chunk of bread. She chewed frustratedly for a moment or two, as though waiting for her anger to subside, then finally swallowed*

Fine. But I want to talk to her to. She better have a pretty damn good excuse for this shit, and she'd sure as hell better apologise after.

Yeah...for all I know there might be a reason for it besides just not liking me, but she owes me enough respect to at least explain. [he gave a short, tense chuckle] as apology would be nice but I really doubt that'll happen.

[he scratched the back of his head a bit, glancing at Faye. It meant a lot to him that she cared this much, but he wanted to talk about something else now... He didn't want to upset her and himself more]

I'll have to try turning into a bird before this thing passes. It'd be kinda cool to be able to fly... But I guess you flew all the time in your world, right? In the metal ships in space?

*Faye definitely got the feeling from him that he didn't want to keep moaning about his situation, or Grell, so she sat back and allowed the conversation to change*

Hm? Sure. Ship like this but.. a different shape. Not quite so..homely. Still, flying like a bird would be another thing completely. You should give it a try while you've got these weird powers.

So only the ship could fly with you inside it? Guess that is different...

You mind if I try it in here? I cent exactly go outside much....I don't think I'll she'd feathers or anything.

[he might've she'd a little as a raccoon dog though, so he wasn't going to try taking that form on her bed. It was bad enough he'd poked a few holes in her new sheets...she didn't need fur and feathers on them too]

Yeah. Like this ship. You need someone to pilot it. Then there was my own little ship. That thing could zip around in space in no time. Really saved my neck.

*She smiled, amused, and nodded at his request*

Sure. Go for it. What bird are you going to be?

Heh, your ship sounds fun...

[he thought about it a moment]

Hmmm. How about...a grey falcon? Those are pretty cool and fast fliers. Plus it's small enough to not crowd this room...

[setting his empty plate aside, he scooted to the edge of the bed and started focusing on what he wanted to shift in to. In a few moments his body changed, and sitting in his place was a small grey-colored falcon. He looked down at himself]

Whoa...cool! It worked!

[he opened his wings and hopped off the bed and...fell to the floor rather clumsily while flapping them. Upon hitting the floor, he reverted back to the raccoon dog form accidentally]

Ow....[he glanced up at her as he righted himself, a bit embarrassed]

Guess flying takes a bit of practice... [he started focusing to turn into a falcon again]

I'll take you for a ride, sometime.

*She said it, and meant it, but didn't think too hard on what it meant in terms of actually ever having to happen. She stared as he transformed, still amazed at how easy it seemed to him. Faye laughed a little when he fell, even though she knew she probably shouldn't*

Try flapping your wings this time.

[hed grinned what she said she'd take him for a ride. True, neither of them knew of that would ever even be possible, but if it was, he'd certainly love to do it]

Heh, yeah.... [once he was a falcon again, he clawed and flapped his way back up onto the bed. Then he turned towards the edge again and tried just flapping his wings a bunch. At first it didn't work very well, but when he opened them all the way and flapped as quick as he could, he finally rose into the air a few inches before making an excited noise almost like a yelp and settling back to his feet]

Heh, see that? I flew for a second there!

[he started flapping them again, this time giving a small jump off the edge just before he rose. He still ended up on the floor, but more hovered down than fell this time. Since it wasn't as jarring he didn't mistakenly revert to the body's natural form this time and remained a falcon]

Whew, birds sure gotta flap a lot... [he looked around the room] maybe I could glide a bit from a high point...

*Faye laughed at his first attempt, mostly just amused by how utterly ridiculous this entire sitiation was. She looked around the room at his suggestion, but the highest point was the lantern she'd been given for her birthday and she didn't want him standing on that*

What about the door frame?

*She pointed at the small ledge over the door*

Your tiny bird feet can manage that, right? And then you can sweep down onto my shoulder.

Okay, I'll try it.

[he walked over the door, using his claws a beak with a bit of flapping here and there to climb the frame. Once he was on top, he looked down and around. The too certainly looked bigger and the height of a door frame higher in this little body...but he wasn't too afraid. The bird body felt light enough that a fall would to hurt too much]

Ok....gonna try it now....

[he spread his wings, hesitating a moment before pushing off the ledge almost like he would to dive except forward rather than down.] whoo!

[He didn't have the position of his wings as perfect as a bird with instincts so he didn't glide as efficiently as one, but he did glide. His glide path would have carried him into Faye's lap if he continued but at the end he flapped his wings quickly to raise himself and sort of half-landed half-crashed on her shoulder]

*Faye flinched as he crashed onto her shoulder, turning her face away so that she didn't get smacked by wings, or a mouthful of feathers*

Urgh. Okay. Guess you did it that time. What did it feel like?

*She glanced at him uncertainly, realising that she wasn't really much of a fan of having a bird so close to her face afterall*
