[well, she figured out the voice function... there is an aggressive sigh, then a groan that is dragged out as long as her lungs and throat permit.]

This is NOT Fiji! This is not Monaco, or Bermuda, or Dubai, or even TOKYO! I know well enough that WHATEVER THIS IS ISN'T HOME OR A VACATION SPOT AND WHOEVER BROUGHT ME HERE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION WILL BE SENT ON A HOUSHAKUJI SHIP TO ANTARCTICA AND LEFT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM THE SUN ENTERING THROUGH THE ENORMOUS HOLE IN THE OZONE LAYER AND RABID PENGUINS!!!!!!

Since it's obvious you are new here, I should introduce myself. I'm Kairi and I've been here for at least nine months myself, so if you have any questions I'll be happy to try and answer them.

Hi, Kairi!! You're very sweet. I like you because didn't yell at me immediately! I'm Renge Houshakuji, heir to the Houshakuji Shipping Conglomerate, but I think I stated half of that earlier. I have lots of questions, including but not limited to: Where am I? Why me? How? Davy Jones is real? Again, HOW? Is that waterfall going up? Is there a party here or is this town always this garish? Does yen work here? How much yen will it take to make yen work here? Am I stuck here forever? Did you cry when you came here? Will any of my friends come here too, or is this just a me thing? Can I talk to Davy Jones? If so, do you think he understands French, Japanese, or Korean fluently?

Okay, I'll answer those one a time so here goes... [taking a deep breath right now. lets see how many she can do before she needs to take a breath again.]

From what I've heard from new arrivals, you are currently on an island called Port Chance. [Breath out and in again. She will keep this up as long as there are questions.] As for why you, no one truly knows the answer to that question. [Another breath.] It seems Davy Jones just chooses at random and doesn't seem to think about the why. This could be found out later for all I know, but for now that's the answer. As to how he managed to do it. Magic, I guess is the best way to put it.

[She pauses for a moment, she's taking a very short break.]

Now Davy Jones is very much real, but once again can't exactly explain how he is since being a skeleton ghost and all. [She still doesn't get it herself.] But on that, I will warn you not to die, please. It's... not the most pleasant of experiences and while you do come back because of him, there will be a price.

[She lets out a light chuckle as she listens to the other questions.]

Yes, that waterfall was going up. It's quite amazing and something of beauty. It was a festival for the race that is currently on going for the remainder of this month. If I am to guess correctly that is the race will end at Port Chance, so having a party at the end might be a thing to.

[Seriously, how many questions has it been now? Twenty or something?]

I actually don't have a clue what yen even is, so probably answers your question of no, it probably won't. I don't even think pirates here know what yen is, so no amount would make it work. [She pauses, is she stuck here forever... Now how can she word this one correctly...]

We are suppose to find shards of this jewel that can give us the wish to go home? That might take years for all we know, but from time to time people have been known to just vanish suddenly some day. So I do believe we'll be able to go home sooner or later, it's just the case of when.

[That seemed about right anyway.]

I didn't cry. In fact I found being here to be a good opportunity to explore and see what was out there. I can't say the same for everyone however as all responses are different. Friends are kind of a hit and miss thing here. You might come across them, or you might now. It's all about luck in that area.

[Finally nearly at the damn end of the long list of questions. Unless she has more in which case this might take longer.]

Talking to Davy Jones is from what I gather impossible, I don't even think you can when and if you were to die, so please don't try that. [She breaths a sigh of relief when she finally reaches the last damn question.]

Considering we all understand one another even from other worlds, I think he'd understand you. [Finally, she had done.]

I heard something about ships, and pirates. Will the Navy actually kill us? Are we pirates the moment we arrive, or do we have to commit a crime to become on? Or is our crime arriving? Where can one acquire a ship? Is it safer to set out on your own, or try to join a crew? Is there any way I can stay on an island without the Navy because I'm great with ships and I have sea legs, but I'd rather stick to land. If I'm not really... skilled, physically, would I even be able to find a ship that would take me in?

[Damnit with the questions and the need to answer them. She should really stop being so damn nice.]

The Navy will do one of two things, either capture you and put you in prison to hand execute you later in front of people, or kill you on the spot. I say this having experienced both things personally. Also we are pirates the moment we arrive since we don't have the papers we are suppose to in order to sail... I think that is the case or something. [So pretty much you commit a crime right off the bat.]

I believe you can buy a ship at Port Chance where you are currently located in you want to head of yourself, but I think going alone would depend on your skill in both sailing and combat. Since if the Navy catches you you would need to defend yourself. So in those cases it's best to stick to a crew. [Though one has been thinking of maybe heading off alone one day, but not right now.]

As for staying on the island, well... you can't stay on one island for too long. people usually linger from a few days or a week or two at best, but never anything more. You final question is easy to answer, after all most ships are very willing to take on new members, though it would depend on how big a crew you would want to be a part of.
