[The newcomers were facing dire straights when they arrived, and although the Queen's Gambit was headed to the Northeast, and not in the vicinity of Isla Empieza itself the young Earl had something to offer those caught in the chaos. Being removed from the situation there was no great urgency in his voice, his tone was calm and measured.]

There is a device that can transport you swiftly across large distances.. for those on Isla Empieza looking for a way to leave that place the crew of the Queen's Gambit will be offering you sanctuary during this time.

[Ideally, those that took advantage of this, might stay on and fill out the crew. If not, then so be it. It was better than sitting idly by.]

Directions to the Nav will be included in the journal. I'd rather not advertise it's location to the Navy.

[With that being said he shut off the voice portion and wrote a detailed account of how to get to the one way transport that resided on that Isle. Then it switched back to voice.]

Be careful, and I would recommend not stopping to ask too many questions. The rest can be explained when you're out of harms way.

[Ciel's also got a thread started in the log over HERE]

The Navy was never that fond of us to begin with... it's only now that they decide to take any decisive action.

[A light huff passed his lips, it doesn't sound as if the young Earl is too concerned by all this]

I wouldn't put much stock into this display, if the past is any indication of their level of competency.

[Besides, Ciel had a little trick up his sleeve should his vessel run too close to their waters]

It would be in our best interests to at least keep aware of where the Navy is frequenting. So I would suggest that if anyone runs into their ships that they please inform the rest of us so we can all avoid them as best as possible. It's a vast ocean, and they can't very well patrol every location.

[ Here, have yet another audio entry from another female newcomer to your lovely sea. Despite what you'd think, however, she's rather...calm? If she's nervous, it certainly doesn't show in her voice. ]

Hello, everyone. I do hope I'm using this correctly. My name is Chiaki Nanami, and I... Mm, I was originally on an island with other Hope's Peak Academy students. Please send me a private message if that means anything to you. I'd really, really appreciate it.

[ Now that that bit of important business is out of the way, time to move on to the next thing on the to-do list. ]

As for why we were brought here...I understand what's expected of us. ...I think. We're supposed to put together that broken gem, right? And to do that, we need to sail around the ocean to find its shards. Just like collecting Power Stars. Enough of them, and we can move on to the next level.

[ That thought makes her pause for a moment. ]

...I wonder if they're actually shards? Like, could they be embedded somewhere? There are games where animals were corrupted by a shard of such a gem, turning them against the party. That...wouldn't be pleasant. I hope that's not the case.

[ ...Right, to-do list. She clears her throat once before continuing. ]

I'm going to add to the number of people asking if they can join a ship's crew. I don't have any experience on ships, but I can draw maps and keeps detailed logs and records as necessary. I also know how to clean rooms and search areas thoroughly. And...I'll leave at that for now, since this is getting rather long. Please feel free to contact me for more information.

[ And with that said, she closes the journal. ]

[Written]

[Finding himself on unfamiliar terrain had been jarring but he was trying to be pragmatic about all of this nonsense. He'd found that message from Scurvey Dog, and taken a little time to familiarize himself more with the situation before putting pen to paper. He was not inclined to comply with this Davy Jone's characters wishes but this gem was the only clue he had towards how he might be able to find a way home.

The locals were treating all of the newcomers with suspicion and fear. The atmosphere was unsettling. The sooner he could gather a crew, the sooner they could get off this rock. Not that he had any desire to spent more time at sea after that Campania mess...

Worst of all? Ciel was lacking one demon butler. Sending his servant to make the necessary arrangements would have made this much easier, but for some reason he was not heeding his master's call.

Evening,

I'll spare you from having to witness another missive filled with confusion and astonishment at what has transpired... if the information I've already received is accurate I'd only be serving to tell you what you've already experienced for yourselves.

[The script was elegant and flowing. It looked like the author was exercising great care]

Instead, I have a proposition to extend.

I'm keen on leaving Isla Empieza as soon as I'm able but I require a crew. Therefore, if there are any interested parties, anyone who is without a ship or those that are not satisfied with their current arrangements then please get in contact with me. [Trying to sell this idea to total strangers wasn't going to be easy. In England he at least had his name to encourage cooperation but that meant nothing here.] I realize this is an important decision and I'm open to answering any questions you might have. I also would like to inquire as to who has previous sailing experience or any sort of skills that may be of value on our voyages. [Just don't ask me that. Cough]

Sincerely,
