[The first thing that Ikki does upon finding himself on Isla Empieza is to throw up. It may be due the feeling of being pulled back and forth through a diminute hole at the speed of light, or it may be due the way his brain is drained and then explodes with memories. It takes him a bit to clear his mind, to get a hold of his surroundings, the memories that had been taken and then returned.

As he recovers, he casts a glance around if only to confirm that this isn't his home. He was sent back only to be returned to this world right away. And that's not the worst part of it. The worst part is that he doesn't know how long has it been here. He remembers from others that months here could have been just a few hours for them back in their worlds, and he wouldn't put it past Davy Jones and Chronos to make it be centuries here while it was just a second for him.

The second thing that Ikki does upon returning is to open his journal and snarl at it.]

How fucking long has it been?!

[Even if that's the first thing that he asks, it's not really what he cares for the most.]

Are the Spades still active? [Do people even know them yet? If they vanished and enough time passed it's possible people wouldn't have heard of them.]

Is Selphie Tilmitt still here?!

[There's more surprise in his voice than he would like, if only because it makes him realize how big the part of himself that thought that he had lost them was. Then again, his life has always consisted in losing everyone he hold dear, except for Shun and the others... And even that was questionable, specially with Seiya trapped in a wheelchair and slowly dying.]

A few weeks? How many exactly? Is everyone still here? Are you safe?

[That sounds about right. It was around when Selphie announced that he was missing.

She gives a bit of a sigh.]

We are safe. Zeff and Naesala are gone, but everyone else is still here.

*There's a thud as Selphie seems to have fallen over as she's tried to spring out of bed*

[Even with Rose's words, it's not until he hears Selphie's voice that he sighs in relief. She's still here and remembers him, aside from having left her for God knows how long everything is perfect.]

[As the sickness lifts the impulse of throwing up is replaced with anger and the need of murdering someone. Maybe Davy Jones or Chronos. And then himself for abandoning her.]

*Then her voice breaks as she fights back the tears. She can't let Ikki hear her cry, not when he's barely back, and he needs to know she's okay*

But there's a difference between him thinking that and seeing proofs of it. Even Roxas' "I'm glad that you're back" felt surprising, probably because part of Ikki was sure that he was just fooling himself. That only Selphie and Marco, maybe, would notice and care even a little.]
