What do you guys do when you start to miss home? Or... worry about the people and the responsibilities you left behind, even though everything is supposed to be all right?

[Everyone's in the same situation, so Korra doesn't feel so weird admitting that she's missing home. She's lucky, she realizes, that she has friends that she made both at home and here to keep her company. But still...

Sure, sure. [ Irony. He thinks he gets it, more or less. Bolin follows up with a thoughtful hum. ] I don't think it's too bad to be homesick either way, though? I mean, if you miss it, that just means you still remember all the stuff and the people that make it great! Which doesn't exactly make it easier to miss, plus you've got a lot more responsibilities to worry about than I do, so that must really be bugging you.

[ Oh wait is that comforting, maybe not. He's the worst at this. ]

Uh. But... yeah, I think it's still good. Kind of. And hey, you definitely don't have to be homesick by yourself, either!

...Yeah. [The word comes out completely flat. Oh, Bolin. She loves you, bro, but you can really suck at timing sometimes. All that lovely Avatar stuff that's... not getting done. Gulp.]

I'm glad you guys are here. [A bit gentler now.] I think about it a lot... How the Avatar is supposed to travel the world, and meet all kinds of people, and learn new things... I always think of you guys being there with me. And this is the closest we can come to that, really. Even if it's not our world.

[ Yeah, he's leaving this to Asami from now on. Or he's telling himself that now, but will forget next time someone seems to need cheering up.

Bolin guesses he can't relate to this much on any level. Mako's always been there for him by default, and their parents-- well, that's a different situation. Except maybe in how they're feelings that don't magically get better at the drop of a hat. He's not much of a delicate treader and he has no idea where to start becoming one yet, so. All he can do is what he can do. Which is mostly talking. ]

Well, I think you get double credit for covering more worlds than usual. And I'm up for traveling around any of them with you. Just point me to the portal or the weird zombified pirate with a magical gem problem.

I guess that's one way to look at it. I still haven't seen much of our own world, but we'll fix that once we get home.

That sounds like a plan to me, Korra! I don't think any of us have seen much of our world, have we? We could kill four iguana-parrots with one stone.
