What do you guys do when you start to miss home? Or... worry about the people and the responsibilities you left behind, even though everything is supposed to be all right?

[Everyone's in the same situation, so Korra doesn't feel so weird admitting that she's missing home. She's lucky, she realizes, that she has friends that she made both at home and here to keep her company. But still...

[That's something always plaguing Korra's thoughts, really.]

Ikki said something about checking the Backwater Brig for something that might let us see home, but... I can't imagine they'd have anything like that...

[It sounds too good to be true, at this point.]

Getting something like that sounds like it should be harder. [Okay Asami wants to be positive, she really does, so give her a moment until she adds on some more] But we should ask anyway, it's not going to hurt to try.

I'd guess that people have already asked about something like that, but you're right. We should at least give it a shot.

Who knows, right?

[She's not really counting on it, but, you know]

What are doing right now?

Naga and I are in my room. I haven't really been doing much, today.

Want me to take you for another spin on the moped? When we get to some land of course.

[Man, she really needs to find a way to get a speedboat or something]

I'll come over if you want.

We should! Without... You know..... Any incidents, this time.

[She is so not confessing to running that guy over on the open network NO FREAKING WAY.]

I'd like that. Yeah.

We'll try to avoid it this time.

[Or more like she will, since it was more her fault. But yeah...no bad incidents would be good this time]

Just give me a second and I'll be over as quickly as I can.

[She'll even bring over some meat for Naga]

That would probably be a good idea.

[And with that Asami shuts the book and walks on over to Korra's room. She manages to pick up a salami log somewhere along the way for Naga...huh, she thought Ace ate them all.

And a knock on her door!]

Korra?

[Korra pulls open the door with a grin. The first thing out of her mouth?]

...Is that from December?

[Salami, you've got salami!! Naga's excited, in spite of her master's snark.]

[Asami is totally just holding up the salami and waving it around a bit before Korra even opens the door, for whatever reason. But nevermind that. She unwraps the meat and kneels down to offer it to Naga the second she steps in the room, then stands back up]

I think so? I thought everyone finished it off but I guess I was wrong. I heard the stuff could last for a pretty long time.

I guess so.

[Naga is thrilled with the meat, and curls up on the floor with her treat. In a small swirl of air, Korra jumps into her hammock, letting it swing a bit.]

Thanks for coming over.

[It hadn't been normal, for Korra to have someone to really "hang out" with, until she had met Asami.]

[Asami just stands. No actually, she leans against the table or what's being used as a table. She eyes Naga, then looks back to Korra]

It's nothing, Korra. Things have changed a lot since coming here...I don't blame you for missing home so much.

[In fact she'd be more worried if she didn't]

[Korra shrugs, slightly awkward about it now that she's face to face with someone.]

I'm doing better, since talking to people.

[A small pause.]

I think I've been a little thrown off ever since Wan showed up.

It's very [There's a beat from Asami, she's trying to find the right word, but nothing better comes to mind than:] strange.

[It's true though. She knows times works differently here, especially since Korra told her a younger version of Sokka and Katara were once here before...but two Avatars at the same time? That's still hard to believe.

But here both of them were in the flesh]

He sounded really distressed the last time I talked to him. Do you know if he's doing better?

I think so... I talked to him earlier, and he's coming over to the Spades for a little while. I think he's just... not as used to being around people as much as we are.

I guess. Then again...there are a lot of non-humans for him to be around too.

[She'll just have to ask him when she sees him]

I think he's more of a spirits kinda guy.

[...Does Asami know about her little adventure into her deepest past life?]

When I lost my memory, I actually witnessed most of his life.

That's certainly what it looks like.

[She knows of it and knows about Vaatu and Raava, but doesn't know much about what happened beyond that or that Korra witnessed his life. So she perks up when Korra mentions it]

Really? What else happened?

[She finds herself saying without even thinking]

Well, back when he was alive, all the people lived in cities on Lionturtles. Most of them didn't even know that there were other humans. The Lionturtles were what gave people bending, and... with the help of Raava, Wan was able to collect all four because they fused at Harmonic Convergence. That was when they sealed off Vaatu.

[Leaving out that whole bit about how the threat of Vaatu was technically Wan's fault in the first place.]
