What do you guys do when you start to miss home? Or... worry about the people and the responsibilities you left behind, even though everything is supposed to be all right?
[Everyone's in the same situation, so Korra doesn't feel so weird admitting that she's missing home. She's lucky, she realizes, that she has friends that she made both at home and here to keep her company. But still...
It's not home.]

Did he just get another nickname?]
Find new responsibilities here, it's what I've been doing. [But that's not exactly easy for Korra.] Maybe you could ask Ace about making an in-ship swimming pool.
voice
I don't need a pool in the ship. I can swim in the ocean whenever I want.
[Hey, it's even warmer here than the water toward the South Pole! Korra has no trouble playing around in the water while the ship sails. Her voice takes a mellower turn.]
Maybe I'm just... still not used to not being the Avatar.
voice
I don’t know if anyone could ever get used to that. [Not like there are any ex-Avatars around to ask.]
But I don't think there could be balance in this world, not the way things have been.
voice
[But that's always on her mind. What she's stuck thinking about right now is... a little more selfish.]
I just wish I could see my family.
voice; I JUST SAW THIS TAG, SORRY!
And now he's here. There's no way he can relate with that now.]
You went home before. Maybe you'll get to see them again that way. [It's not much and he knows it. His tone's offering at best. Keeping up the Krew's spirits is something he's trying to do, more so for Korra. She's been here the longest, so she's feeling it the hardest.]
voice; IT'S BEEN LIKE A DAY AND A HALF DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT
[That's all she's really got to say, Mako, sorry. It's... not much of a consolation.]

We’re here if you need us, Korra. [They’re not her family, but each other? That’s all any of them have.
He’s used to that, but Mako’s not expecting anyone else to be.]

[Her voice is gentler, now. Korra does share his sentiments, to an extent. She's admittedly been a little off ever since Wan arrived.]
Thank you.

…Yeah, you're welcome. [He wants to know just what caused her to suddenly miss her family like that, but not over the journals. That and they didn’t yell at each other. That’s got to be a record of some sort.
Instead, he just closes the journal and rests his forehead on his motorcycle.]
