Now I have been avoiding this possessed book as much as possible, but ah--

Does anyone know how to fix one of those big, tall... Sticky-thingies?

You know, the one with all the sails and the rope.

Ours is, uh, broken, so any help would be-- [There is the sound of a distant crash.]

Oh god. What now?

[Ah yes. The crash. A sound which is followed very shortly by Miguel materializing behind Tulio. In that 'I am utterly not to blame, I don't know how that girl got there' way of his.]

Well, on the bright side, we now know what does not hold broken wood together.

[He turned abruptly, drawing his shoulders up as if to make himself more intimidating but probably only made him look more ridiculous.]

Great. Thank you. Supremely helpful. So what else did you break?

[Hm. The smile falls, and one finger comes up in the 'there is a point here, really' gesture']

I like to think of it as discovery. With slightly destructive side-effects. We can get more canvas any where, anyway.

I'd like to point out that I said Sticky. As in stick-like.

And tall.

I believe what you're referring too is a mast, sir. And I'm not sure it can be fixed by any other means but... magical ones. [And if the way he's talking of the journal is anything to go by... He might not like it.] Or replace it if you're currently docking at an island.

Well docked might be a little strong a word...

I think I'll go with trees rather than magic, if it's all the same.

Well, we were in a storm. The big stick broke. Not sure what else I can tell you, kid.

That stick was our main mast. I don't think "fix" is the word we're looking for here.

[You know what, talking into a book feels incredibly silly. She's heading for wherever Tulio is now.]

[But then she walks right into his cabin and he feels a little silly for yelling at a book. Cough!]

Hey! We didn't do anything! We were even trying to take in the big - cloth - sail - thing!

[Basically they were taking in the sails, when a large gust of wind caught it and snapped the upper half of the mast. Oops.]
