[Ahoy, Pirates! From the pages of your journal comes the somewhat frantic voice of yours truly: Tulio, mighty and powerful-- oh whatever.]

Now I have been avoiding this possessed book as much as possible, but ah--

Does anyone know how to fix one of those big, tall... Sticky-thingies?

You know, the one with all the sails and the rope.

Ours is, uh, broken, so any help would be-- [There is the sound of a distant crash.]

Oh god. What now?

[He turned abruptly, drawing his shoulders up as if to make himself more intimidating but probably only made him look more ridiculous.]

Great. Thank you. Supremely helpful. So what else did you break?

Break something? Tulio, I-

[Hm. The smile falls, and one finger comes up in the 'there is a point here, really' gesture']

I like to think of it as discovery. With slightly destructive side-effects. We can get more canvas any where, anyway.

[idolator]

[Tulio raises his hands and scrubs his face.]

Get more-- You know we're shipwrecked on a deserted island, right? Just where are we-- You know what? Never mind. Forget it.

We need a plan.

[pseudosol]

Exactly!

[Time for a good-natured pat of Tulio's shoulder.]

That's exactly what you should be concerned with. Leave this whole...broken wood business to the rest of us. We'll find something that makes it less broken instead of more eventually.

[idolator]

Yes. And that something is a tree.

[He grabs Miguel and drags him out to the deck.]

There. See? A little bit inland, there's a forest. We should be able to make a replacement.

[pseudosol]

[Miguel is happily dragged along, processing-]

We'll have to thoroughly explore. To find only the best tree for our long, pointy parts. And think of what else may be in there...

[Yes. Miguel has fully entered starry eyed adventure mode.]

There could be a whole city, Tulio!
