WARNING:

I will no longer condone the continued harassment of local innocents nor the willful and callous destruction of their property.

The next one of you who throws a temper tantrum that causes harm to homes, stores, livelihoods, or scenery that do not belong to our enemies THE NAVY will find yourself tied up and punished in the same manner of your wanton destruction.

Davy Jones can bring you back from being murdered, but let's see what he can do with someone who is burned almost to death, shall we?

If you do not have respect for the sanctity of the lives of those around you, then I shall have no respect for you.

This is a promise.

Signed,
Elissa Cousland

[Elissa doesn't use her usual blue, ballpoint pen for this entry. While she may be overly enamoured of the wonders of plastic pen technology, a noble just doesn't make a formal proclamation with such an implement. Since she's long since rid of her old quill and ink, she has borrowed Haytham's to write out this decisive statement of warning. In it, she uses a formal, calligraphic font that is almost Celtic. It is signed with a bold, angry flourish.]

{The tap of sharp heels hitting wooden planks slowly transforms into the far more muffled thump of someone wearing normal shoes. A deep, amused laughter rumbles over the journal. The sound is positively unholy.}

Keep your Candy Island. I have found a trove of untouched treasure.

{Treasure only one such as him can enjoy. It is nice to indulge, though, frankly, it lacks the flavor of a treat well-cured.}

Each island contains the right ingredients, however there is a lack of spice on many of them. {Spice being the qualities he prefers in his Masters.} I shall keep my senses open to better enjoy what a life on the sea has to offer.

I can't decide if I hate this place or love it.

[And she doesn't sound happy about that.

It's late at night, and she's in the fighting-top of the foremast. Or, rather, her journal is. It's open on the wood, perfectly safe. She is sitting on the yardarm, balanced in a crouch. Because she wants that reminder of what she is. Of the unnatural abilities at night.]

People change, right?

Supposed to be part of growing up and life and all that bullshit.

[There's something darker in her. Here, she hasn't had to pretend, not for a long time, to be just a normal girl. Those around her know what she is. She has a steady diet of blood, both sheep and enemies. She is what she is.

But by embracing that simple fact, she's begun to embrace the darkness. The violence.

She can feel it settling into her mind, preparing her for the war Claudius wants to fight.]

How do you know when it's going too far?

When does it stop being "changing" and start being "losing yourself"?

[It's not a moral or existential crisis. If anything, it's concern about the lack of one. Because she feels like she should be bothered, but she's not, and that bothers her.]

And how do you know when to stop liking what you see in the mirror?

[A very irritated yet defeated Ranma makes it a point to come on the journal this morning to gripe.]

Oi, I have a word of advice for all'a you bachelors an' all around good guys out there.

Next time y'decide to do somethin' out of the kindness of yer heart? Just do it an' keep on goin' with yer life. Don't stop an' let somethin' grow outta it. While I'm at it, never get married, don't agree t'get married, an' if you absolutely, positively hafta, then get it done right away.

Trust me. It'll save you a lot of headaches later.

[Boy, he doesn't sound apologetic about recent going ons at all.]

Princess Celestia
When my sister and I paired our power together, we could take on any foe. Sometimes we needed help, such as from the Elements of Harmony, but if not for Luna and the bonds we shared, we could not have used them either.

I was separated from my sister for a thousand years, and after only a brief time together again, I have found myself here and apart from her once again. I miss her dearly.

But that doesn't mean I am powerless and infinitely tolerant without her by my side. Some people seem to think otherwise.

Luffy. Can I hope that we will be more cautious in our choice of sailing partners, in the future?

[Celestia is writing all this from a spot on the deck, and her script remains impeccable despite her contained, controlled anger. (Writing with telekinesis helps with that.) She has not been in a good mood since the fire on Eternal Bliss.]

Fun Fact: The Great Ghost Race, though a tradition nearly a century old, was renamed to ward off the wrath of Davy Jones, as the start marks his date of birth.

Dates: July 5th-31st

Requirements:

All participants must arrive at Port Chance no later than July the 2nd.

Registration slips (which will be sent to you via mail) must be delivered to the bursars office in Water Town no later than the 3rd.

Ships that do not participate at Race Start on the 5th will be disqualified.

The Race

All participating ships will be given a map of three islands, from which they must require specific tokens, location and object thereof to be imparted to them from the race officiate on said island.

In order to win the Great Ghost Race, participants must be the first to cross the finish line at Port Chance on the 31st with all three tokens.

If a tie occurs, the two ships may decide to split the prizes or battle it out, the winner going to the crew with the remaining ship and/or most survivors.

Notice

All participating islands have but one token. Expect competition for said token. It is permitted to steal the token from another at sea, so expect likewise.

July is the time of unexpected whirlpools, believed to be the work of Davy Jones himself. If you are caught in one… please try to avoid it in the future.

Prizes

First Place: A shard piece roughly as long as a man’s palm, 300 thousand doubloons (or equivalent treasure), a golden Nav.

Second Place: A two time use Demon’s Egg (property to be revealed upon receiving) 100 thousand doubloons (or equivalent treasure), 50 casks of rum.

Third Place: 80 thousand doubloons, 20 casks of rum, 16 chickens.

If interested, please register here before June 28th.

I heard something happened recently on an island and it just sounded awful. So I decided I want to go help them, if they will let us. I mean after all it was an outworlder who caused them harm and destroyed there homes, shops and belongings. I would understand them not trusting us any more, but still I want to help.

That is why I decided to sail alone, to help those that need it for a good cause. Be they native or otherworlder. I guess, I am using the journal to ask for those who are willing to help? It's not necessary, but I believe that there are people here who want to do something to make the natives lives much better than they must be now.

I will most likely be there within a couple of days at least, so I'll be happy to meet you then if you would like a meeting.
