It's starting to look like I showed up here alone and without my team. Someone pointed out that this was the best way to find people I know, so... here it goes.
Anyone who recognizes B.P.R.D. please respond. It's Sparky.
Anyone else reading this, if you've seen a big red ape with a stone hand wandering around, please direct me to them. I suppose the ghost and mystery journal is the least shocking thing I've seen before this. Not too keen on the sailing thing though. I'm a bit more used to jumbo jets and trucks then... boats. Been a while since I bothered with the sea.
[She cut it off here, unsure if this would do anything. She didn't sign it as Liz, because she didn't want to give that away yet.]

Audio;
His name wouldn't happen to be something like Hellboy, would it?
[a beat, and she gave a very soft snort to that] Great, so... 'Welcome to our world, not get off my rock'. Haven't really ran into too many locals anyhow. [not that she wasn't used to that.] Thanks, for the heads up.
Audio;
His name was 'Dantalion', as I recall. He didn't have any nicknames like 'Hellboy', at least none mentioned.
[He frowned and sat back, cursing himself for not asking more concise questions.]
Still, I wouldn't want to put you out. Would you mind if I ask you a couple questions of my own, miss?
Audio;
[questions? She raised a brow at that, realized it was audio only and then spoke up.] Depends on the questions, but you can ask.
Audio;
So, if you're willing to sail with us and you have the right mindset, then we'd be happy to invite you.
[Coby was seconds away from gushing about how awesome Kuzan and Smoker were, at least.]
Audio;
I'm not sure I'm the type of person you're going to want around on a boat. That anyone will want around, for that matter. I'm not exactly the best person to put in a small space made of wood. [understatement there.]
[She's frowning as she talks though. It would be best if she just sailed off on her own somewhere.] I think this pirate thing is stupid, however. No offence to... uh, anyone. I'm not much for piracy is all. [which it sounds like they aren't much for either. But, she had to ask...]
...Do the people here really think we're all pirates?
Audio;
[There was a pause on Coby's end.] I feel like I've had this conversation, before.
If you have an ability you worry about curbing, then I may be able to help you maintain a bit more reign over it. However, if you were willing to sail with us, you would also have to be willing to try and learn to contain such a thing as well.
Audio;
I've... got control. For the most part. It's just not exactly a seaworthy skill. [She paused, and now sounded amused with something.... huh] This sounds a lot like a survey. Are you trying to collect a crew or something?
Audio;
This is a crew with an admiral of the navy and a vice admiral of the navy among its ranks so far, so if need be--we're completely willing to protect anyone who can't fight, either.
[She couldn't see his smile, but it was RADIANT.]
That aside--is Sparky your name or just a nickname? Mine is Coby.
Audio;
I haven't really done much sailing. Motorized boats, for the most part. I might need someone to show me the ropes. [a pause for a moment before adding...] I can fight though, if... needed. I might not like to, but I'm far from defenseless.
[she can hear the smile. It's... nice.]
Ah, it was a code name, for the group I was working with. Kind of dumb, really. My names actually Liz. Liz Sherman.
Audio;
So, Sparky--does that mean you use electricity as a weapon? [He wouldn't have even guessed it if not for the fact that he'd seen other Marines and Pirates use it all on their own.]
Audio;
[and at the weapon question, she sounded a little less enthused in talking. Unsure how to actually go about it. Then again she was hearing others who could do... weird things. Still.]
Ah, no. I use... [because you can't see? She flicked her hand, to watch her own bluish fire dance. Her hand burning as she spoke (a crackle of fire could possibly be heard)] ...I use fire from time to time.
Audio;
Have you ever eaten a really bad tasting fruit before, miss? One that would definitely be memorable to you?
Audio;
I suppose everyone's taken a bit of bad fruit once before, but no, I can't really say it was memorable.
Audio;
Since it became available again, I just wondered, you know--if you'd eaten it.
Audio;
[That didn't sound weird at ALL. No, really, not at ALL...]
[Okay a little bit.]
Ah, no, I can't say it came from fruit. I was... uh, born with it? I also can't turn myself into fire. Just... control it. [This was stupid. She told herself NOT to tell anyone about this. But it was seeming more and more strange around here.] It's called Pyrokinesis.
Audio;
You have that power without a Devil Fruit, though? That's amazing, Miss!
Audio;
It's a bit more trouble then it's worth. It's... a mental thing. Emotional, really. So I don't think I have a very good control over it, which is why I don't think it's a good idea sticking me on a wooden boat. You see?
Audio;
Then, it definitely is something we can manage, miss! Even if I'm a profound failure in aiding you, if you were to sail with us--one of our crew members can actively manipulate ice and frosty gales!
Audio;
Wait, so you actually are working with someone... who can manipulate ice? An elemental user? And they have control over it?
[a small pause, then...] I... would be interested in sailing with you, at least to see if I can. Honestly, I would appreciate the help...
Is there somewhere around here we could meet? Seems... odd talking to a book.
Audio;
See, he hadn't thought that all through.]
I should mention I'm on Isla Empieza. You've definitely arrived on this same island, correct? It seems to be a consistent pattern given posts I've read, but I can't rest on assumptions.
Audio;
Mmm yeah. Isla Empieza. That was where I woke up. I've been hiding out just outside the town for now. The locals aren't too friendly to new faces I found.
Audio;
In fact, they chased me out with pitch forks only a few weeks ago. I had to sail elsewhere until things calmed down.
I hadn't even really spoken to anyone, either.
Audio;
I figured it'd be safer for them if I stay clear for a bit. So... sticking around is a threat then. I suppose I do need to find passage off this rock. [she sighed, not really looking forward to it. At least these people didn't seem... normal either]
Audio;
Then, miss, I really do suggest sailing with our group for at least awhile. If you decide to stay, we would welcome you--if not, we would gladly look for an island in which you could live peacefully.
Audio;
Alright. I suppose it can't hurt, even if it's just for a little while. I don't even require much space. [it was meant as a joke, because she was so short and tended to be as invisible as possible...] Let me know where to find you and yours.
