It's the first time I've ever heard of something like this.
Are all the books in this world the same?
[Weirdness aside, Nami has had a bit of time to digest what's happened to her. She does not like being stripped away from her quest, not at all. Saving her entire race is pretty important, you know. But considering what she's learned of the Piedra Roja so far, what comes next seems easy enough.]
Anyways, my name is Nami and humans know me better as a mermaid. I've never actually been part of a crew, or had much reason to use a boat, but I know how to work with a team and I'm pretty comfortable in the ocean. I can harm and I can heal, like the seas themselves.
[It's kind of where she lived for most of her life, after all.]
I'm not really looking for anybody in specific, but if anyone out there has heard of a "moonstone"...
[Nami stops talking for a moment.]
It's really important that I find one.
[Unlikely that she'll get anything out of that, but she may as well try.]

Audio;
Ahh. What's a moonstone, miss?
Audio;
But its glow only lasts for one hundred years, and it's my duty to find a new one before it's too late.
Audio;
Fishman Island had somethin' weird like that. I dunno about stoppin' monsters, but it lit up their big bubble kinda like a sun.

How urgent is it? I'll keep my eye out! [ Even while stranded in an alien world, an explorer must be ready for duty! ]

[This very important fact also goes overlooked by Nami.]
Are you really the moonstone's bearer?
voice;
I... I don't have it right now but! I'll look for one! But...
[ He sweats. ] If it's this important and powerful, then I might not be thinking of the same moonstone... But I'd really like to help...
[Voice]
My name is Marco, and I'm with the Spade crew.
Two questions for you, if I may? What island are you from, and what do you associate moonstones with? If they are directly rocks from the moon, they might different planet to planet, or moon to moon, as I'm starting to learn.
[Voice]
There's not much I can say about the moonstone. It was always been given to us through a trade with someone from the surface. But when I went to get it, the bearer... never made it.

Not all books. Just these specific journals.

Is it magic, or something else that lets us use them like this?
[Nami's glad she at least knows it's not common to every piece of literature. She doesn't really want to look like a fool by talking into every single book she comes across.]

[At first he sounds rather disbelieving, and then with a residing sigh he decides to just accept it.]
Well, at least you're not a vampire.
So what do you call yourselves if you don't mind me asking?
Voice
[And yes, Nami is glad she's not a vampire. Though, she may only know a little bit about vampires.]
I'd show you what I look like, but I don't think I can do that with this thing.

That's pretty nice of you, and I don't see why I shouldn't accept. [Having at least someone else who's similar to her might just help her settle in that much better.] But about your captain? I know what you said, but... Is it really going to be alright?
