It's the first time I've ever heard of something like this.

Are all the books in this world the same?

[Weirdness aside, Nami has had a bit of time to digest what's happened to her. She does not like being stripped away from her quest, not at all. Saving her entire race is pretty important, you know. But considering what she's learned of the Piedra Roja so far, what comes next seems easy enough.]

Anyways, my name is Nami and humans know me better as a mermaid. I've never actually been part of a crew, or had much reason to use a boat, but I know how to work with a team and I'm pretty comfortable in the ocean. I can harm and I can heal, like the seas themselves.

[It's kind of where she lived for most of her life, after all.]

I'm not really looking for anybody in specific, but if anyone out there has heard of a "moonstone"...

[Nami stops talking for a moment.]

It's really important that I find one.

[Unlikely that she'll get anything out of that, but she may as well try.]

Guess I should stop by and have a look.

It's always worth a shot and if it isn't there then don't give up hope and I'm sure people will find something like what your looking for.

I'm not going to give up, and I never will. If I can't find it here, then I'll just keep looking for it back on Runeterra. That's where I'm from, by the way.

I'm from an island called Destiny Island. Although I've found that islands here don't seem to have anything to do with our worlds or where we are from, so you might not be able to find your home here.

My home was underneath Runeterra's ocean, and I already left that behind to find the moonstone. I'm... prepared to be away from it for as long as I have to.

[Though she really does miss her home, and she does sound kind of sad over this.]

That's admirable. Must be hard thought, but I can understand why.

I know I'll see my home again.

Besides, being on the surface world isn't as difficult as I thought it'd be. It's... weird, and dry, but kind of interesting.

There is a lot to do on the surface as well. I'm sure you'll find something that will catch your eye.

Well, here we just sail and so see the various islands that are around.

Apart from that you have the day to day chores.

[Admittedly, exploring islands and sailing through the open sea doesn't sound so bad to her.]

You need to keep the ship running smoothly, I'm guessing.

Yes and that's the job of the crew. I do little jobs here and there should people need me.

Like cleaning and cooking?

Not so much cooking, more cleaning and various other things.
