[After a rather interesting run-in with a certain witch, Chandra decides that perhaps it's time to actually use the stupid book. Not that she'd have waited too terribly long, because hell, the idea of a magic notebook is actually somewhat intriguing.

When she speaks into the recorder, there's an odd bubbling sound, and her voice is modulated strangely at first.]

Right, so. I guess this thing works. If it doesn't then I'm talking at a book like a moron.


First of all, I'm new here. My name's Chandra and apparently I'm stuck here like the rest of you. That's...a pretty new experience for me, to be completely honest and I'm not sure how to take it. But then, what can you do.

With that in mind, I guess the normal thing to do seems to be finding some people to sail with and find this weird gem, and I guess that's the next order of business. I'm a Task Mage by trade, meaning that I do all sorts of odd jobs and I often do them with magic. Hire me on and you'll have artillery without compare. I've never found a ship, door, wall, or bad guy I can't take care of, or a mountain I can't craterize. [She pauses, laughing cheerily.] And my favorite way to destroy something is utterly, so...if you've got problems just point me at 'em and stand clear and they won't be problems anymore.

Also, I've been on a ship a few times, enough to know my way around but not enough to get into any real trouble...and if it's physical stuff you need done I'm pretty good for that too. And if I can't? One of my little buddies can take care of it. And if that's not enough, I'm also young, hot, and full of stories. Some of them not fit for children.

[She lets out a little cackle, and the modulation in her voice stops, her tone getting a little bit more serious too.]

Also, that witch that was talking about sending people home? That's a bust. Ignore her. She's just trying to steal energy or something. I destroyed the construct she's using, but I figure it'll be back later on tonight or tomorrow. Also, do yourself a favor and steer clear of the plaza for an hour or two.

Oh, and if you don't like talking over these journal things? I'll be at the bar.

Looks like she's manipulating people's minds, driving them to do stuff they never would normally. Also might be able to control some weather.

[Chandra's voice darkens, growing more irritable.]

Fuck. I hate mind mages. They're so annoying. Squishy when you get them cornered, but getting them cornered without hurting your friends is rough.

No, she was really friendly, right up till she tried to steal my mana. It's obviously a trick, you know. She's trying to sucker you in.

And I mean that she was trying to steal my mana, you know...my magical power? Just drain it away. She got a tiny bit, then I dealt with the problem.

He'd made a few attempts at communication, but nothing beat walking up to someone face to face. Which was what he did by entering the bar. Not that he really drank that much, but they were good places to find information.*

[Well, Chandra's there at the bar, with a flagon of something that's actually on fire in her hand, grinning and laughing at something the barkeeper's saying.]

Great it is a life force sucker. She's apparently Davy Jones Ex. and since he's for lack of better terms some sort of sea god that controls death and can bring people people here from across time and space I'd in no rush to meet her face to face. [Harlock's not sure how deadly his Cosmo Dragoon be on her when it's not at full power]
How much firepower it take to temporary destroy her body?

Davy Jones? The weirdo in the poem? He's...got a body and a thing for pale creepy girls then? Huh.

And I'm not sure, I just kinda...threw enough at her to take down a mountain, or kill a dragon. Figured that'd be enough. She...uh...made me kinda mad.

Yeah him, he's a bit of green skeleton these days only showed his face the day he brought the first wave here.
Who knows what his type is? Dog said She was the first to sail with him and first to betray him, that and with physic powers sounded like a crazy Ex to me. I know one very touchy female pirate back in the Sea of Stars who's hell to deal with when my friend does something stupid.
