This is Princess Luna, of the Stargazer. The black fog has begun to encroach upon our ship. I attempted to keep it at bay with wind, but that method proved ineffective, so I am going to try something more hooves-on. Whatever this is, 'tis...not precisely nightmare magic, but it seems similar enough that I wish to see if I can dispel it magically. I shall report upon my results shortly!

[Roughly fifteen minutes later, the journal picks up again with a somewhat different voice. Or maybe it's just Luna speaking in a different tone? It's a little difficult to say.]

Hahahahahaaaa! Victory is mine! Bow before your queen, pathetic humans - for you will never see your precious sun again!

[Cue evil laugh. You can probably consider that a report on her results.]

[a voice that is deep and smooth speaks out over the journals. Like a radio personality, it's calm and level, deep but not droning. It's 8 AM in the morning of the 25th...]

Hello out there, fellow Jones Pirates. Or so I hear we're called. Funny how legends of the long past become reality in an unreal world. Unreal only for the fact that this shouldn't exist, yet it does. Fancy that.

Out to sea, at last. I thought it would be an interesting adventure, and yet here it's nothing but fog and morning night. Or I am sure it's still night when it should be morning. If I have things right it should be around eight Am, am I wrong about that?

Sun, where have you gone. Blood moon, why do you smile like a skull.

Haunting figures at night. I snuffed the fire lights and stayed silent, keeping an ear open for what bumps in the night. Fears of being dusted racing through my overactive mind.

A ship not far in the distance, approached by another. Screams fallowed after. I moved away from it and onward.

[he's silent for a moment, laying on deck of his small sail boat, his journal resting on his chest, a soft sigh, before he continues]

Has anyone else experienced a ship, ghostly in nature, confronting you and their crew? Details would be most interesting.

Alright you kids, be careful. This is DJ C2, leaving you with this: The night's a dark mistress, more so when she takes over the day.

I would part ways with you with a song, but I seem to be short music, so for now, let's just say good night and good sailing.

[Truth to be told, Ragna's sense of time is close to non-existent; so far, he's managed to miss his own birthday, his anniversary of coming to this world, and god knows how many other important dates in-between. Even so, there's a time of the year that burned itself into his mind hard enough for him to remember it. Either that it's some sort of self-preservation instinct kicking in.]

So, uh... Anyone know some kinda place where one could hole up for a week or two? Preferably something with no windows or doors. And reinforced walls. Ones that wouldn't let shit pass through... like... something ethereal, for example...

[ . . . ]

... Y'know, in case of emergencies.

[You're not fooling anyone, Rags.]

[prepare yourselves, it's the return of Shrieky McGee-- except, she's not shrieking. she's actually surprisingly even tempered, her voice soft, the sound of a gentle breeze accompanying her.]

Do pirates celebrate Halloween? I've been trying to figure it out for weeks. There's the option of dressing up as pirates back home, and that's always fun, but do pirates dress up as anything? Do any of the islands celebrate it?

I was looking forward to this year's Halloween, honestly. Back home, I was going to throw a giant Halloween ball, and everyone was going to dress up in gorgeous costumes, and we'd do all the commoner traditions, but with Houshakuji elegance and flair!! Mama was excited for it-- she was going to dress up as a character she played in one of her movies... and Daddy was going to be there too! I expect all of my friends would be there as well, and I'd be the absolute best hostess. After all, if there's one thing I'm an expert at, it's Halloween!!!

[she sighs, loudly, and the sound of her fiddling with pages can be heard.]

There's a whole month until the actual holiday, so I'm sure I'll be able to manage something! I always do.

One of the disadvantages of being a pony in a world built for humans, and one which I believe will never be rectified, is my size and form compared to humans. I am not only larger than they, but longer, and particularly thanks to my wings, wider as well.

This means I cannot easily go belowdecks, even in a large ship like ours. There simply is not enough room for me to be comfortable for any length of time. Ordinarily this is not a problem, because I enjoy sleeping out beneath the stars and feeling the wind in my feathers. It is not the palace in Canterlot, but I find that to be a good thing. I may not have the luxury I had there, but here, I feel free.

Usually. I mention all of this because I note that this approaching storm has a distinct tint, and I have a hunch that it brings more than just rain with it. And especially at a time like this, I do wish I could go belowdecks and easily avoid it.

[Celestia's out on the deck getting doused with some bemused resignation, and that means anyone she sees is getting Feeled at.]

So I wanted to do some like, 'research'- I don't come from a place with all this magic and whatever, so maybe somebody can help me out. I asked around and heard there's some places you can go that have like, healing springs? and things like that? but one of them at least turns you into a chick, and that's not really what I'm looking for, so...

I know at least that there's people here who can cure injuries and things like that, if you get hurt during a fight or whatever, but what if someone has an actual... y'know, disease? Is there anybody here who knows how to fix that? Or has anybody been someplace here that might have some kind of magic to do something about it?

Hit me up. I want to know where to go next.

Greetings! I am Princess Luna, of the kingdom of Equestria. [You can't see her, but she just sounds like she's posing.]

I seek compatriots to sail with me upon my newly purchased craft, The Stargazer. Your level of experience does not concern me - those forcibly brought here who cannot sail must be taught at some point regardless. I know how to manage the ship well enough, even without tidal control. If there are profits to be made, they shall be distributed evenly amongst the crew.

Any who are interested may contact me upon this device, or find me near the harbor. I intend to leave this place shortly. In addition, Pinkie Pie, please respond immediately if you receive this communication.
