[a voice that is deep and smooth speaks out over the journals. Like a radio personality, it's calm and level, deep but not droning. It's 8 AM in the morning of the 25th...]
Hello out there, fellow Jones Pirates. Or so I hear we're called. Funny how legends of the long past become reality in an unreal world. Unreal only for the fact that this shouldn't exist, yet it does. Fancy that.
Out to sea, at last. I thought it would be an interesting adventure, and yet here it's nothing but fog and morning night. Or I am sure it's still night when it should be morning. If I have things right it should be around eight Am, am I wrong about that?
Sun, where have you gone. Blood moon, why do you smile like a skull.
Haunting figures at night. I snuffed the fire lights and stayed silent, keeping an ear open for what bumps in the night. Fears of being dusted racing through my overactive mind.
A ship not far in the distance, approached by another. Screams fallowed after. I moved away from it and onward.
[he's silent for a moment, laying on deck of his small sail boat, his journal resting on his chest, a soft sigh, before he continues]
Has anyone else experienced a ship, ghostly in nature, confronting you and their crew? Details would be most interesting.
Alright you kids, be careful. This is DJ C2, leaving you with this: The night's a dark mistress, more so when she takes over the day.
I would part ways with you with a song, but I seem to be short music, so for now, let's just say good night and good sailing.

[Dry deadpan in return, but just the one simple word.]

Hello.

[Marco no.]

Not as often as others, but I'm new, so I'll be working on that.

[....]
Got a crew yet?
no subject
[a small hum as he drifts, considering the question]
My crew is me, myself and I. Two of which are a pain in my ass, really. It’s not a bad life to lead though.

[By that he means why the sing-song storytelling voice? - Haytham meets his first DJ. ]
I have not encountered these ghost ships before but by listening to the stories of those who have you would do better to avoid them.

Avoiding them sounds like a great idea, personally. But it does make me question why.
Question it, of course, not deny it. I want to stay far away from the things myself.

There was talk of ghostly skeleton crews last year who managed to turn those they came into contact with into monsters. I was on an island at the time that remained unaffected by the curse but I have no reason any longer to doubt the truth in that statement.
You might do best to head into port until these ships sail away again.

I see. From what I hear, these things aren't abnormal. Ghosts and spooks and curses. Sadly I'm new to this... I want to call it an Afterlife, but this world?
Advice well taken though. As soon as I spy land, Land is where I will be going to again.

How long have you been here?
no subject
A few weeks, give or take.

This is all still very strange to you then. Take care and maybe you will avoid the worst of it.

That's an interesting way to see things. Gives me hope to see my mates again though. Though at the moment I'm not sure if they'd love it here or if it'd be trouble.
It is a bit strange, but I'll do my best to keep my nose clean.

[She keeps track.]
[audio]
Tell me that's nor normal around here?
[audio]
[Celestia would have told her, that is.]

I am not...unfamiliar with such effects. But generally they are caused by someone, rather than simply coming with the seasons.
[And, well, there's no obvious culprit to her mind. Save perhaps the one who brought them here, but he is apparently unassailable, so knowing that he is at fault would help little.]
[audio]
So, if one were to consider candidate for this, one Davy Jones, Ghost Pirate and Kidnapper might be fitting? I've been hearing he's done strange things before.

[audio]
Is that a figure of speech?
[audio]
Though I have been able to do no such thing since my arrival here, so that is nothing new.

[She probably should have started this with an explanation. Or just not mentioned it - what use is her normal station, if she can't be of any help here?]
...I am the Princess of the Night. Such is my primary duty.

I have come to realize it is not pleasant to be regarded so highly.

Voice;
[he hummed a few bars, then sang, in a bit deeper of a voice...]
I see the bad moon rising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.
Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
[He then hummed a few bars and chuckled a deep chuckle] Anyhow, you get the point, hmm? What I wouldn’t give to have some of my old music here.
text;
[You know, being a former singer and all.]
I liked the song, by the way.
voice;
And thanks. I don't do it justice, but it's a good old tune.
