[slightly backdated to Christmas. One can hear a crinkle of paper as well as the sound of a bottle being placed on a table.]

Does this happen often, mysterious roaming ships mysteriously giving away gifts? Not that I'm complaining, but I'm certainly hoping they weren't expecting me to give this rum back.

The treasure chest filled with coins and jewels made of sweets, however, was something of a terrible tease. I'll admit they're a tad sight better than torn trousers, but I'm hardly satisfied. [aaand her voice has dropped down to a purr at that word] Perhaps I can get some of you to help.

Never heard of the place. But it's got a kick to it and doesn't taste like they dropped a rat in it, so it's a plus in my book.

Is there a story where "torn trousers" are concerned, or is that just a figure of speech?

Hawke seems to have a penchant for finding torn trousers or other bits of junk to sell. [dryly] I honestly don't know how he persuades the merchants to buy them, but I assume it's a leftover instinct from when he was living in Lowtown.

Being able to make profit from junk is an important talent to have.

[Hey, RPG protags gotta stick together! Shepard sells junk too!]

I won't challenge that, but it would be so much more efficient if you can convince merchants to overpay for expensive baubles.

[Shep stops doing that though!!]

Expensive "baubles" are a little harder to come by, but what do I know? I'm a soldier, not a salesman. Maybe if you asked nicely, this guy Hawke would try a little harder?

[chuckle] He hardly needs to try. [huhuhu]

It was an observation, not a complaint. I have more efficient ways of gathering coin, that's all.
