[The handwriting is a little sloppy, as if this was jotted down in a hurry.]
Hey Spades--
Found some stragglers. I'm bringing them back to the ship.
[Private to Sora:]
Heads up...one of them is Roxas.

Roxas and Sora work differently than the rest of us, otherwise we wouldn't be here, right?
[He's being flip, but it's pretty clear what "here" he means and it's not "on a pirate ship in some strange pirate world."]
Let's not worry about messy stuff like time travel and just figure out how to sort this world out. That's what our "job" [complete with air quotes] is supposed to be.
[Action]
[He exhales heavily.]
This world, though... It's different from the others we've been to. We've been here over three months and I still only know of one way to leave. ...Well, two.
[Action]
[Obviously not easy, since they've been here that long. It would take a tremendous amount of power to warp space and time like this, so it would follow that it would take an equally impossible amount to undo it. Beyond anything he knows or is capable of, certainly, though he wouldn't put it past Sora to just pull the ability out of nowhere. Well, that's probably not likely, either, but he hasn't been the most studious pupil when it comes to magic lessons...]
[Action]
[Action]
[This place does remind him a lot of that world, but there's something just different enough about it that makes him think they're not the same place. Just a hunch.]
[Action]
[As far as he can tell, anyway. There was one island that had similar creatures, but they weren't the same. This world just doesn't feel like the others they've been to, though.]
When we first got here, there was this...thing. A kind of apparition or something. Later we found out it was supposedly the ghost of Davy Jones. And he's the reason we're here. I don't know how, but he pulls people here. He told us to go look for treasure, or we'd regret it.
[Rolls his eyes, showing just what he thinks of that.]
[Action]
[Lea mulls the information over. Darkness not having a hold here would probably explain why he can't open corridors, but that's about the only thing it explains.]
So have you all just been following orders like good little pirates or has anyone seen what'll happen if you don't do what he tells you?
[Action]
Yeah, you just wait until you meet our captain. I think we've spent more time causing trouble than anything.
The thing is, apparently that's one of the ways to get home. By finding this treasure of his. But it's in pieces...we're supposed to find all of them.
[Action]
[He can get behind causing trouble, that's for sure. He makes a note to introduce himself to the captain when he gets a chance.]
So what's the other way? You said there were two.
[Action]
[At Lea's question, Riku shrugs and crosses his arms.]
You just disappear. It's more of an assumption that you end up back where you came from, I guess we don't actually know. But if there's another explanation for the disappearances, nobody's figured it out yet.
[Action]
[Because that's a lot nicer than what he'd assume.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Sometimes getting rid of them personally.]
[Action]
[Pauses.]
Have you figured out the journal yet?
[Action]
What, this thing? Haven't even opened it. Is it something important?
[Action]
[Riku pulls out his own matching journal, flipping to the entry he'd just written earlier to show to Lea.]
They're a means of communication in this place. Everyone has one. You write in it, and it shows up in everyone's journal. And you can talk to them, too, and they'll record what you're saying.
[Action]
That's handy. So there's someone who writes things in here sometimes that gives you clues, is that what you mean?
[Action]
[Action]
[It gives him a bit of direction, too. Not going to turn that down.]
[Action]
She might give you some backwards, utterly unhelpful answer, but it's worth a shot. And hopefully she shows up again before we get swept up in some other crazy thing. It's really easy to get distracted in this place.
[Action]
[Not that he's not thinking that maybe he needs a badass pirate outfit himself, but he's not going to tell Riku that.]
[Action]
[AKA it isn't all fun and games.
...Just mostly. >.>]
[Action]
[He pushes off the rail and stretches.]
Guess it'll be up to me to keep an eye on you kids.
[Action]
...Maybe that was a little fun. But still, we can't take them too lightly. They captured some of the crew awhile back.
[Slight pause.]
Not me, though. You really don't need to keep an eye on me.
[Action]
[Sure, Riku is probably right, but there's no reason to let him know that.]
