I apologise for my lengthy absence. I'm afraid I became rather ill, one of the symptoms being a severe case of fatigue. [What he isn't saying is how -- by combining low blood pressure with voluntary bloodloss, which led to anaemia. No one else needs to know any of that.] I've been trying to keep tabs on what's happened, but I may have missed some things, I admit.

It seems we're in quite a bit of trouble, aren't we?

On that note, if the crew of the Antoinette could please join me on the top deck, there's something very important we need to discuss. Thank you.

You've helped quite a bit so far. You've let me rest, brought me my meals. None of which I asked for.

[Kyouya smiles a little, a slight but warm expression.]

[Not that he would ever consider actually mentioning anything if it seemed like an imposition. But he could agree to it for Tamaki's sake.]

I'm glad...[And as if Tamaki would allow Kyouya to stop him from doing everything possible to make sure his bestfriend was well taken care off.]

People here, I'm sure you've noticed, vanish without warning. I-- attempted to inform Lundenberg-san about my recovery... and she's gone.

Well I've been busy hiding from the sunlight and taking care of you...

I thought she was just hiding in her cabin.

Which means we don't have a captain for the Antoinette. I... felt we should address the matter as a crew.

Did we do something wrong? Did I bite her or kill her unconsciously?

...what will happen now?

You didn't do anything, Tamaki. [And just in case Tamaki needs further assurance--] There's no blood anywhere. You didn't do anything.

We'll... figure it out. Together.

[He lets out a long sigh of relief.] That's good. I thought I accidentally killed her. I wasn't 100 percent myself at that time.

It'll be okay right? I mean, Kaoru is still with us.

We'll be fine.

[It's more sentimental than he normally lets himself get, but, in cases like this, maybe it's due. Besides, he can always blame it on recovering from fatigue.]

[He smiles weakly.]

But Kyouya knew better than to say that, than to put it so bluntly how dangerous this place was. They knew it already. In more ways than he'd ever known.
