Sixteen. How do you expect to get a bunch of adults to listen to you, or are you just looking to put together a crew of kids? I'm not knocking it since I was thirteen when I cut my teeth on treasure hunting, but I also wasn't the leader of my band.

Master wordsmith, swordsman, multi-talented, able to asses any situation and come up with at least twenty fucking solutions to a single problem and verify which of the outcomes would be the most profitable.
Also I can fly and rip someone's soul out of their body, but I'd rather not use that power unless I really have to because ripping someone's soul out is kind of a dick move.

So where's the downside of being part of your crew? And don't tell me there isn't one, cause everything has a downside. Nothing is perfect, and when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

The only downside is that we'll have to start off small and have less information about the rest of the going ons, but I've already got that covered as well. I've established an alliance with a crew that's been here for a while already, and they've agreed to be my informant on any old and new info in exchange for the device that'll let them detect other ships in their area.

[The next part comes after a moment's hesitation and after he switches it over to private.]
Also I plan to install a device that not only allows me to monitor them but also gives me the ability to blow it the fuck up whenever I see fit no matter what distance I am from it. A fail safe mechanism.
[Private]
Whereas I don't dispute the logic of that plan, it makes me wonder about the potential safety of your crew if you're willing to kill a member of your family and potentially innocent people because of one woman's deception or spite.
A captain's crew is, after all, his family on the open sea. Should members of your crew be prepared for bloodshed or soul loss upon a perceived sleight or the swindling of someone off-ship?
[Private]
I just know in a place like this, blind trust isn't something one can just give away that easily. It's better to have a back up plan if, like you said, they turn out to be untrustworthy and try to back out of the deal. It's more of a fail safe to destroy the radar itself so they can't continue using it after fucking me over. Anyone in my crew will be under my protection and responsibility, I won't let anything happen to any of them no matter what. I'd throw myself on the sword first if they show trust in return.

My name's Ihrie.

Dirk Strider, AKA Cap'n Di-Stri the Prince of Heart.

[She already misses her partner. Damnit, why didn't Fam come to this stupid island, too?]
That's a really long name and stupid captain designation. Are you trying to make potential enemies laugh their asses off upon hearing your name instead of quivering in fear?
[Private]
And if the enemy is too busy laughing then that just makes it easier to kick their ass and rob them blind. I thought the same thing too when I first heard my title was Prince of Heart, but where I'm from that translates to Destroyer of Souls. It's just a nicer way of saying it without slapping on the glaring sign of YOUR SHIT BE FUCKED.
But I'm cool with just going by Dirk or Di-Stri, it's more of an official title.

I know what the First Mate is, which is why I needed to know if there was more compensation involved. Especially if I have to wrangle idiots.
Let's say that unless I get a juicier offer by the end of the day, I'll take that position as First Mate.
[Private]
Honestly, my decision isn't based off of your experience. It's based on the fact that you showed concern for others and seemingly would be willing to have absolute loyalty and care to your crew. If I'm gonna be making a new "family" here, that's the mindset I want them to have.
[Private]
I'm no soft-handed woman.
[Private]
Guess that means I'll keep on looking for other potentials, and you can keep me updated on your crew shopping status.

Quick question. When you say magical knowledge, do you know how to cast spells like a wizard? I found another potential but she insists she works best with a wizard around who can cast spells and has a lot of energy.
