Dear magical journal thing that I'm still not convinced isn't completely evil,

Have been stuck in close quarters with speccy git Potter for far longer than I'm used to — thus far I've managed not to hex him, at least. I suspect the urge won't be kept at bay for much longer.

The sun decided not to rise this morning — totally normal, that. Not worrying at all.

THERE ISN'T A PROPER LOO ON THIS BLOODY SHIP, or shower, or anything else — cleaning charms can only go so far!! My hair is hideous.

In conclusion: not dead yet.

Maybe... Maybe he didn't do it alone. Maybe someone wished for him to survive that Killing Curse.

I think somebody would've figured that out by now if it were so simple.

How do you figure out something like that, though? Wishes don't leave traces, unlike spells.

I don't think wishes really do much at all, do they?

Depends on what kind of wishes we're talking about. Depends on whether they're part of a contract or not.

...A contract? Right, I don't really think that's a thing where I'm from.

Then I reckon wishes may not be as powerful in your world as they're in mine.

No, I don't think so. I've never heard of such a thing.
