*Faye sighed heavily and got up, then started moving around to clear up and wash the dishes*

Then let's go.

I know you're probably tired though so as soon as I get wet we can rest...does that sound okay?

[her sigh had sounded pretty burnt out]

*Faye dried her hands on a towel then turned to face Thash again. Her eyes were sad, apologetic, and she ran a hand over her face*

I'm sorry, Thash... I'm sorry. This wasn't the welcome you wanted, I bet. I'm just... I missed you. A lot.

It's okay. There's nothing to be sorry for...it must've been hard to deal with. I missed you too, of course, but I...wasn't fully aware of the passage of time or what happened. I wasn't waiting day after day while hours dragged by.

It was the worst. And I never want it to happen again.

*Faye walked over to stand in front of him, reaching out to touch his jaw, her eyes on his*

I won't let it happen. I'd sooner die than to break this promise.

[he looked down at her, feeling sort of sad but sort of grateful and admiring the fiery determination in her eyes. Dang, it felt good to be truly loved]

Thank you. I feel the same way about you, Faye. [he reached a hand out to softly stroke her cheek]

*Faye moved her arms to wrap around his waist gently and shuffled a bit closer to him. She closed her eyes when he touched her cheek, and she whispered gently*

Are you feeling well enough to kiss me yet?

[he smiled slowly]

Yeah, I can do that

[he lifted her chin and pressed his lips against hers firmly but gently]

*Faye leaned hard against him as she accepted his kiss, and she tried her best to return them, her lips eager, but she was soon crying, her tears salty in the kiss*

[hed been trying to ignore the despairing thoughts and emotions that would naturally accompany dying. He'd been trying not to think about the fact that he had been nearly permanently separated from her. If that had happened in his world or hers, he wouldn't have come back...he'd never see her again. But those thoughts and emotions came to him now as she cried, and he couldn't help but join her. He kissed her harder, wrapping his arms and hands and tail around her and just feeling her physically there]

*Slowly Faye paused in the kissing, but keeping herself close as she opened her eyes and gazed up at him*

Look at me. You've turned me to into a big sappy soppy vulnerable mushy gushy mess.

*Though she was smiling softly when she said it*

Eheh...[he smiled s bit himself, glancing away and wiping a hand across his face]

Right back at you...[but then he looked at her again and wiped some of the wetness from her cheeks with his thumbs]

Dunno what I'd do without you, Faye. I guess Id just fall apart.

You would. You'd be a real mess and so would I. Neither of us would exist anymore.

*She laughed softly and reached up to kiss any places on his face where there were still traces of tears*

Come on. Let's get you to that island so you can go for a swim.

Yeah...[he smiled as she kissed him]

That sounds great.

[so he'd help get the shop over to the docks and seek out the nearest freshwater pool, which happened to be at a water park]

*By the time they arrived at the water park, Faye was in a much better mood. She was wearing a sundress with her bikini underneath and had a beach bag with her. She'd had enough time to pick herself up, telling herself she had to be strong for him. Faye steered him directly into the park*

Okay. There should be a pull you can use somewhere... it's pretty busy though so I don't know if you could find a private one...

Yeah probably not private but...hey, water's water right now. I just need to soak in it for a it then we can go somewhere else if you want. I know you're not much into water slides and noise, heh.

You look fantastic, by the way.

[and as soon as they got close to a pool he jumped into it without warning]

I know, sweetie. We're here to get you better.

*She smiled brightly at his compliment, laughing a little as he jumped in. Sure enough there were lots of people about, families with kids. Faye put their stuff down on a lounger than sat in her bikini at the edge of the pool, just watching him*

[he just stayed in the water for a while. It felt so incredibly good to be in it and breathe it after being so dry and dehydrated, and on top of that, itchy. It seemed to sooth every inch of him so he sat in it for a good ten minutes]

[then, his head popped up and he had a big smile on his face] aaah! I feel so much better now!

[and looking at Faye in her bikini and feeling great and full of energy and glad to be back with her after dying gave him...ideas]

*Faye watched him happily, just so pleased and relieved to see him moving around and clearly feeling better. When he popped back up she beamed at the smile he gave*

Good. I'm glad. We can stick around for a while... test the waters uh..literally.

Sure! Whatever you wanna do...I'm just glad to be hanging out with you. [and he never meant that more than now. Being away had made time together that much sweeter]

*Faye smiled at him, kicking her feet a little and splashing him lightly*

Hm, but what do you want? You're the one who died and was marooned on an island, after all.

[he chuckled a bit, then with an impish grin, splashed some water onto her with his tail]

I want you to get in the water. Maybe even get in a water slide, if we're staying here

*Faye playfully winked at him and kicked her legs a little harder in return*

Oh really? Then you're going to have to get me into the water first...

*She really didn't think she'd enjoy the slides...but if it was what he wanted she'd go for it*

[he just wanted to see her reaction to one...if she accidentally had fun, maybe she'd want more. If she didn't like it, at least he'd see a cute pouty face similar to the one she was making now with the wrinkled nose]

Oh, I don't think that'll be a problem heheh...

[he got out of the pool, his skin looking much better now that it was soft and moist again. He proceeded to pick her up from her lounging chair]

*When he got out of the pool, Faye was far too interested in looking at his skin to notice what he was doing. She giggled when he picked her up, happily moving her arms around his neck*

Ooh, you really do seem much better...
