Another island with nothing to fight. I swear, this world is making me soft.

What're the most dangerous places everybody's been to, around here? I know about the place with the giant spiders but there's some reason we're not supposed to go back there. I don't remember why, but oh well. So what else is there? What's the worst place of all?

[Straw Hats may find him hanging around on deck with his journal and a fishing pole, looking a little indistinct in the direct sunlight. And restless. Too antsy to even fish properly.]

If you seek a challenge, why not go up against the navy directly. Many of their members are monstrous abominations.

Dunno about that. The last Navy captain we went up against fell pretty easily.

I'm not the type to pick fights when it comes to the law. If there's no reason to attack 'em, it's just not interesting. Now, if they'd captured some of our people? Nothing in Heaven or Hell could keep me from getting 'em back.

You were the one seeking a challenge, it was the first challenge that came to mind. Of course you could probably get the same by challenging another crew as well.

I don't mean worst in terms of the weird shit that can get pulled on you. I meant dangerous, with things that'll fight you and try to kill you. Things you can actually fight back against instead of roll over and take.

Honestly? I'd take things trying to kill me over that bullshit any time of the day. [A sigh. The very memory of what went down on that island makes his skin crawl.] But if that's what you're looking for... can't say I've seen anything too dangerous around here.

[Elsa has to blink a few times when she sees Zoro. Make that blink a lot of times as a small frown grows in her face, she's pretty sure that Zoro didn't shimmer like that before. In fact, she's sure that's just pretty much impossible, so obviously her first thought is that something is wrong with her eyesight. It would be like the cherry on top of the cake, really, she has already been under the weather ever since Anna left, being far less social than she already was before. Getting eyesight problems would be a "sweet" addition to that.

She decides to ignore it for now, maybe it's nothing serious and will pass after a bit on its own. If it doesn't, though, she will have to bother Bepo with it. In the meantime she approaches the first mate with a soft and small smile.]

Any luck with the fishing so far?


...I heard you on the journals. It's really unfortunate that adventure and challenge don't go hand by hand more often, isn't it?

[He glances her way with a gentle sort of look. He can only imagine what she's been going through, but he's also bad at comfort so he hasn't bugged her.]

It's all right. Maybe I'm just not used to it, even after all this time. The Grand Line was a series of one brush with death after another, I must have gotten so used to that.

Maybe you have... But I don't think the Grand Line was really what caused it. You aim to become the number one swordsman in your world, after all, facing stronger opponents and challenges is the only way to get that. Even if this world isn't the one were you want to prove yourself, I think it's understandable that you would want to at least be sure you aren't losing your edge.

Though I can't say that I want bigger challenges or dangers, sorry.

[She offers an apologetic smile at that, even with her powers and everything she's not sure if she wouldn't be a burden if anything big happened. At least big in terms of what Zoro is used to.]

... I don't really want either to see you worrying about going soft, is there anything I could do to help?

I've fought the Navy and some cannibals, but even when I was drugged and injured they weren't enough to take me down. So, y'know, if you'd like to fight some cannibals, I can tell you where they are.

[he wakes with a start again. His mouth is dry and he can hear his own voice ringing in his ears. Shouting someone's name. They're getting bad again and this time there's both of them. Sabo... Ace... Not being strong enough to do anything but...but watch... He scrubs at his eyes with the back of his hand. He's sleepy still but...but going back to sleep...


He turns, pinching himself to keep awake, and spots Zoro not too far away. He can't remember if Zoro's still mad at him for...something. He can't remember much... But...he does...remember one thing.

He reaches out, stretching a little, and lightly grabs Zoro's wrist.

Immediately the tension is gone. Everything melted away and he feels better. Peaceful. Whyever he'd been annoyed or something before he couldn't remember and it didn't matter...but he didn't want to let go of Zoro either-- still, maybe it'd be okay.]

[he usually sleeps through most of what happens around him, but Zoro only just fell asleep so he isn't too deeply out of it yet. So he feels the touch, and while he knows it isn't danger, he has to crack his eye open to see what's going on.

[he opens his eyes a little, too. He's not sure why he's holding Zoro's wrist except that he really really wants to and that's good enough for him]
