Another island with nothing to fight. I swear, this world is making me soft.

What're the most dangerous places everybody's been to, around here? I know about the place with the giant spiders but there's some reason we're not supposed to go back there. I don't remember why, but oh well. So what else is there? What's the worst place of all?

...Luffy wants adventure, but I want a challenge.

[Straw Hats may find him hanging around on deck with his journal and a fishing pole, looking a little indistinct in the direct sunlight. And restless. Too antsy to even fish properly.]

If you seek a challenge, why not go up against the navy directly. Many of their members are monstrous abominations.

Dunno about that. The last Navy captain we went up against fell pretty easily.

I'm not the type to pick fights when it comes to the law. If there's no reason to attack 'em, it's just not interesting. Now, if they'd captured some of our people? Nothing in Heaven or Hell could keep me from getting 'em back.

The last one I went against, though he had left, killed us all in a grand battle.

You were the one seeking a challenge, it was the first challenge that came to mind. Of course you could probably get the same by challenging another crew as well.

I don't mean worst in terms of the weird shit that can get pulled on you. I meant dangerous, with things that'll fight you and try to kill you. Things you can actually fight back against instead of roll over and take.

Honestly? I'd take things trying to kill me over that bullshit any time of the day. [A sigh. The very memory of what went down on that island makes his skin crawl.] But if that's what you're looking for... can't say I've seen anything too dangerous around here.

[... There's also the fact "dangerous" probably means something different to him than to most people, but you know.]

No shit. I remember the flowery bullshit, how every shopkeeper tried to find out if you were married. It was dumb.

Makes me wonder if every island's been even found or mapped, or if there's more out there at the fringes of the world in deadly seas...

I know not quite how he designates himself. Perhaps he is now.

[Elsa has to blink a few times when she sees Zoro. Make that blink a lot of times as a small frown grows in her face, she's pretty sure that Zoro didn't shimmer like that before. In fact, she's sure that's just pretty much impossible, so obviously her first thought is that something is wrong with her eyesight. It would be like the cherry on top of the cake, really, she has already been under the weather ever since Anna left, being far less social than she already was before. Getting eyesight problems would be a "sweet" addition to that.

She decides to ignore it for now, maybe it's nothing serious and will pass after a bit on its own. If it doesn't, though, she will have to bother Bepo with it. In the meantime she approaches the first mate with a soft and small smile.]

Any luck with the fishing so far?

...I heard you on the journals. It's really unfortunate that adventure and challenge don't go hand by hand more often, isn't it?

That does sound interesting. Maybe we'll have to keep an eye out for him.

[He remembers his wedding all too well. Every second of that nightmare is still vivid in his memory, and just thinking back to it makes him cringe.]

Hell if I know, and I don't really give a shit. [A beat.] ... Is what I'd like to say, but if there's a chance the pieces of that goddamn jewel are out there, then I guess I don't really have a choice.

[He glances her way with a gentle sort of look. He can only imagine what she's been going through, but he's also bad at comfort so he hasn't bugged her.]

Oh, hey Elsa. Nah, they don't seem to be biting today.

It's all right. Maybe I'm just not used to it, even after all this time. The Grand Line was a series of one brush with death after another, I must have gotten so used to that.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not as into learning and exploring, but if the jewel shards are out there, we gotta go get 'em. I got no illusions about that.

So here's hoping there's a challenge and some adventure out there at the same time, I guess.

It was quite distressing, especially the cost induced from it.

[He can agree with the former statement; he may not be interested in learning more about the islands for the sake of it, but if it's for the purpose of coming closer to their goal, then he'll deal.

You pay a toll to the that sea god pirate and in exchange are restored. The price varies but it is deep.

Not even something challenging to keep your strength up?

I didn't know about that part. The only people I know who've died here didn't mention anything like that.

Perhaps they were unaware. I lost something great upon my return, so I remember it well.
