voice/action for the Merrily

[there is silence a moment, just the sound of the sea to let you know the journal is open and then:]

I've decided I don't care about dating or that kind of stuff anymore.

[sent mostly to Ace and Smoker but he doesn't know how to private it or even if that's a thing really. Anyway it seemed a lot of people hadn't wanted him to think about that kind of thing in the first place so he should let them know]

I wanna be Pirate King and have all the friends I want and all the meat I want.

[and the rest of it... it didn't matter. Nothing could be better than nakama anyway. That done, he closes the journal and goes to find Smoker. He wants to spend more time with him before the race is over]

[That doesn't sound right to her. At least, she hopes it's not right. But, then again... Elsa had hurt her, on accident... Twice. She was family, of course, but that was still a type of love, because it had been what cured her when she froze.

So... maybe it was right. After all, Anna was willing to risk herself getting hurt for those she loved. It would make sense that other people might feel the same about those they loved. Because the reward was far greater than the risk.

Which... really makes her think, the opportunity to be happy and make someone else happy in the present, the reward that came with that, wasn't that worth the risk of potentially making someone less happy at some point in the future, especially when there was no guarantee that it would even happen? Really, she could just cross that bridge when she came to it, if she ever came to it. There wasn't really any need to worry about it now. Yeah... Yeah, it would all turn out alright. Most things did!]

Anyway, I... I don't know if you really think of me as nakama yet, I've only known you a few weeks [--which, to be fair, was longer than she'd known Kristoff--] and I've only ever kissed once, but...

[Aaand here she trails off. Because maybe she's not even in the category of people he was talking about. And now she had said something that could potentially make the rest of their journey together awkward. Because of course she had.

She bites her lip, looking back down at the ship.] Wow, I'm sorry, you probably didn't mean-- Should I go? I should just go...

Eh? Of course you're nakama.

[which he just decided maybe about ten minutes ago but it's all the same. He's made nakama in less time than that.]

[and then her words sink in and he stares at her, his face going almost completely red]

E--ehhhhh?! You really wanna do that kinda stuff with me?!

[That. Had not been the reaction she was expecting, and she laughs a bit, still feeling awkward, but... less so, at least, than before.]

Yes? If you want to? I might not be very good at it, though... I mean, like I said, I've only ever had the one kiss.

[nod! Still red. Heart beating really fast. Staring at her. Trembling just a little. Brain sort of fried. What do? How start?]

[She's... assuming the nod meant a yes. Nods generally meant yes, right? And he's just staring so expectantly, she's not sure... Is she supposed to do something now?

Okay, look. She's just... She's just going to take his hand, okay? That's a good start, right? And they're sitting so close already, it doesn't take much effort for her to lean over and press a kiss to his cheek. His very red cheek.]

...are you sure? [She has to ask again, because she's not sure he really looks sure.]

[woah! Her hand is pretty cool or his is really hot. He can't tell. He grins at her question though]

Yeah! Let's go!

[Well, that was more enthusiasm than the previous nod. She laughs a little, turning a bit on the figurehead so she can actually face him better.]

Okay, but maybe just don't do that tongue thing you mentioned because I have absolutely no idea what to do with that.

[And with that request, and still holding his hand in hers, she leans in and presses her lips against his, lightly, hesitantly as she's not entirely sure what she's even doing... It's still new to her. She doesn't even bother to close her eyes.]

Yeah okay...

[he doesn't know what to do with it either. She's leaning closer.

Leaning closer!

His heart is pounding in his ears and he can almost feel it before she does it, knowing exactly where her lips are going to go and how much pressure and it's all he can do not to dodge it.

He stares into her eyes as their lips meet and she's got a lot softer mouth then Smoker and what is he supposed to do here?

So he's just going to stay here

until he can figure out the next move

and hope his ears don't catch fire]

[She can't-- They're both staring, and something about this just... tickles her, ruthlessly. She pulls away from the awkward kiss to laugh, her shoulders shaking with the effort to hold some of it in.] You look... terrified!

[he blinks at her, then laughs openly.]

It's kinda new, huh?

[but...not really that new. Not for him. Now that he thinks about it he knows just what to do. For now he just has to return the best kiss he got. And that was Robin's.

He rests a hand on Anna's cheek, leans forward and presses his lips very gently to hers, open mouthed just a little and tried to think like Robin all flowers and warm sunshine and drowsy birthday happiness]

[Her laughter ceases and she blinks at him when his hand touches her cheek. Then suddenly he's leaning forward and kissing her again, and it's a lot less awkward this time and more just... It's nice.

She lets her eyes close this time as she leans into it, letting go of his hand in order to bring both of her own up to rest on his chest, not to push him away, just for a place to put them.

The open-mouthed thing, even though it's just slightly so, is new. But a good kind of new. It's a bit warmer than her first ever kiss. Not just warm at the mouth either, but just warmer, in general, all over. It's enjoyable. Definitely enjoyable. And she tilts her head, just slightly, so that their lips catch.]

[he twitches a little in surprise at her hands on his chest. That's kind of new. It's really warm and kind of soft like hot chocolate when it's cold outside. Then she's kissing him back and his toes curl cuz this is... this is pretty fun...but in a really weird way.

Finally he can't anymore and pulls back, his face pink]

Shishishishi That's so weird, huh? It's so weird! hahaha I like it! But it's so weird!

[She laughs a little herself, unable to help it since he's laughing too. Leaning against his side once again, she nods.]

I'm glad I wasn't too bad at it, then! I was just sort of going with whatever felt right. [She looks over at him again with a smile, her own cheeks dusted pink over her freckles.]

[She had been reading and only saw the message recently, and of course, her first instinct was to go find Luffy. To see Anna with him isn't much of a surprise, she figured that her sister would want to answer to such a message. To see them kissing, however, is a surprise, even if a very, very, very small and mean part of her reminds her that it's Anna and thus it shouldn't be a surprise.

Making no sound, she turns around and returns to the girls' cabin, deciding to not interrupt them. She can always talk with Luffy later after all. It's better to leave them alone, especially under such circumstances...

Accustomed to the cold, she doesn't realize that the temperature all around the ship takes a sudden and wild drop as if they were in the middle of a crude winter.]

Shishishishi

[he's about to say more but the sudden chill pricks over his skin and down his spine. It could be the weather but some kind of instinct tells him it's not. But if it's not-- then... He looks over his shoulder at the deck, but can't see Elsa anywhere, then meets Anna's eyes with a faint frown.

That...was a bad sign, wasn't it?]

[Anna notices the change in temperature immediately as well, looking down and over at the deck in the same instance Luffy does. When their eyes meet again, she briefly bites her lip, nervously. A shiver runs through her, both from the sudden cold and with sudden fear that she'd done something, again, to jeopardize fixing her relationship with her sister. Though if this had been because of Elsa, there's a certain feeling of unfairness in the back of her mind, for Elsa to get upset for something so simple, and something that brings Anna happiness. Anna would never be upset with Elsa simply for being happy.]

D-do you think strange weather again, or...?

No.

[they both know what it is. He's pretty sure Anna does anyway because brothers and sisters were a lot alike. He's not sure what's wrong, but he has a feeling it's...this.

This kind of thing isn't why he's decided not to do it, but now he wondered if maybe you couldn't really do this kind of thing with one person without hurting someone else. Though he doesn't know if Elsa's hurt or something else entirely.

Well...

He pulls the hat on his head, pushing the brim down to shadow his eyes. If Elsa has a problem with something, she'll have to come to him. They're nakama and have been for a long time and he's gotta know they'll talk to him even when he misses stuff.

For this, though... Elsa was nakama and maybe it was this and maybe it was something else, but until he knew for sure, it was best just to leave it alone even if it had been fun. That was the weight of a captain]

[She doesn't say anything more. She can't say anything more. There's a sinking feeling inside her, guilt and sadness and a tiny bit of anger even, resentment that she should even have to feel guilty just for being happy.

She simply nods lightly in response to his words, then turns, climbing carefully down from the figurehead back to the deck. Stopping, hesitating, she thinks of turning back to look at him, to maybe say something, to apologize. For making things worse. But she bites her lip instead, and hurries to find someplace to sit by herself, arms still wrapped around herself in an attempt not only to bring warmth, but to bring comfort.]

[Oi... He didn't want her to leave. They were still nakama even if--that stuff wasn't a good idea. But he also had the feeling he had to wait. Maybe everything would feel better by dinner]
