Since we're going to be stopping for supplies, put in any special requests now while I can get the ingredients for it.

Also, Captain, we need to replace one of the water barrels. It's starting to show signs of rotting, and I'm not going to put anything the crew's gonna drink in it.

If you insist. By the way, I want you to check out this curry shop I've been to! They make really good curry and I wanna know if you know if you already know their recipes or not.

[Also, to pretend to be Ace's dad to help keep girls away.]

[Zeff suspects an ulterior motive but still...]

At the very least, it'll give me ideas for variations on old recipes.

[hiken]

Yeah! And, it's really spicy, but it's not spicy enough! You could even teach 'em how to do it better!

[He said, having nothing more than faith in his new temporary dad/chef.]

[Stroking his mustache.]

Might be something they're adding's cutting the heat.

When you coming back to the ship or should I meet you somewhere?

[hiken]

I'll be out at the pier in just a minute. You could meet me down by the ship's dock.

[He paused--] It's not far from the ship at all, really.

Audio; --> Action?

[redfootzeff]

Then I'll head your way.

[hiken]

[Ace stood over on the pier, a sheathed nagamaki over one shoulder. He looked worse for wear, but he was otherwise fine after getting healed by Nami.]

Yo, cook.

[redfootzeff]

[He offers a small wave as he approaches.]

Best thing to do would be to look at this place you've been talking about first unless you want to work up a sweat beforehand.

[Moving appliances is a chore.]

Hmmm. Well, I wouldn't do it for that reason--I think if we eat and then we get the appliances, that'll be enough time for me to be hungry, again.

[Probably the stupidest thing Zeff would hear that day.]

[redfootzeff]

[Really? But there are so many possibilities!]

In that case, we can add a few groceries to the list of what we're buying. Once I've had a sample of that place's food, I can try and improve on what's there.

[hiken]

I'm excited! Ahhh, it's this way, chef! [Ace nearly hopped in his step, pointing down the street.

Zeff was lucky, catching Ace before he went to the clubs--to which he'd be in the worst of moods.]

[redfootzeff]

[Zeff follows at a more leisurely pace though he is intrigued to see what these guys' curry tasted like.]

[hiken]

[When Ace got to the place, he swung the door open for Zeff to walk in. He yelled inside--] Hey, waiters! We got a pro chef comin' it! Step it up for 'im, alright!?

[redfootzeff]

[Zeff gives a snort, entering through the door. He takes a look around the place, assessing the restaurant first and foremost with a well-trained eye.]

[Hmm...they keep it decently clean out here. The kitchen could be a mess for all he knows though. Some places cheap out on that because the customers can't see it.]

[hiken]

[Ace didn't have the trained eye that Zeff had. His own standards of 'clean' came out more when he was being threatened with a peg-leg. He sat himself down and waited for Zeff, who seemed to be looking around fairly intently.]

I like these booths, too. Nice and wide, so you've got breathing room by the end!

[redfootzeff]

[At least Zeff's been teaching you to keep things clean.]

[He sits down across from Ace, having to support himself largely using his arms. Not easy to slide into a booth when you're missing a leg.]

Don't allow for much in the way of flexibility to handle large groups though.

[hiken]

Ahh? I dunno if they're worried about that! I saw eight people stuffed in one of these the other day! I think they're more into communal meals or somethin'!

[Not that anyone would risk that chance with Ace or Luffy.]

Not everybody likes to eat packed in like sardines.
