[Wan decided to test the book with something written. It was better than looking like a fool and talking aloud to himself in a place full of cold-shouldered strangers who were obviously looking for more of a reason to fight him. He didn't know what he'd done to upset the town he woke up in, but it was clearly enough for them to be threatening to his person. And he really didn't want to get into a fight with anyone and risking harming bystanders.

Raava's silence was also a concern, but she had grown less talkative the longer they were joined. They didn't need to talk that often anymore. So he didn't put much thought behind that. Not yet, anyway.]

To the book that speaks back: Hello.

I have recently woken up in this place and I don't know or recognize anything about it. I've traveled all over my world and nothing like this village exists. I would like to learn more about it, but the people aren't very friendly and most refuse to speak to me.

So I ask you, hopefully helpful book, for your aid.

I'm not really concerned about my safety, I can handle myself. But I have a friend... an animal friend. She's a catdeer and she answers to the name 'Mula'. If there are a lot of catdeer in this place, she'll be the one with a bedroll and small travel pack tied over her back. Please don't hurt her, she'll do you no harm. If she runs, that's okay. Just tell me where you saw her and I'll get her.

I don't know. I'm guessing they meant bending as in being able to bend the elements. [No wait...that doesn't help at all. Asami furrows her brow, even if it can't be seen] Like moving them in any direction? That's what I think at least.

If you're trying to make sure we're from the same world, don't worry. We are. I... know Korra. We've talked already. Here. Not there. I'm from before your time.

I don't know how, but that happens sometimes. We've had a couple people pulled from our world who were from different times. Before ours....mine.

Korra thinks me being here has something to do with what happened at Harmonic Convergence. I don't know enough about this place to know if she's right or not.

[Completely assuming this woman knows about that.]

[korra told her, so she at least knows the gist of what happened. But still, there's still a lot about the Spirit World she doesn't really understand. Avatar stuff included]

I don't know a lot about stuff like that, but it's a possibility? Though I'm not the person to ask. [A pause] I'm not even a bender.

He's another friend of mine. We have one more from home too that I'm aware of.

So there's four of you. Is the last one from your time as well? Can they use one of the elements, too?

We all come from the same time. His name is Mako and he uses fire.

Does coming from the same time make it easier for you to be here?

It really does. Just having a familiar face around helps a lot.

[He gave a soft sigh, leaning his head back against the tree trunk before putting a little pep in his voice.]

But maybe Mula will show up sometime. And if she does, she'll have a friend waiting for her.

We were told we have to collect them in order to get back home. That's the legend anyway. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but that seems to be our only option so far.

That's why it's important to find a crew.

Bolin mentioned that, too. About finding a crew. I don't mind the idea, but...

I just don't know if I want to right now.
