[Wan decided to test the book with something written. It was better than looking like a fool and talking aloud to himself in a place full of cold-shouldered strangers who were obviously looking for more of a reason to fight him. He didn't know what he'd done to upset the town he woke up in, but it was clearly enough for them to be threatening to his person. And he really didn't want to get into a fight with anyone and risking harming bystanders.

Raava's silence was also a concern, but she had grown less talkative the longer they were joined. They didn't need to talk that often anymore. So he didn't put much thought behind that. Not yet, anyway.]

To the book that speaks back: Hello.

I have recently woken up in this place and I don't know or recognize anything about it. I've traveled all over my world and nothing like this village exists. I would like to learn more about it, but the people aren't very friendly and most refuse to speak to me.

So I ask you, hopefully helpful book, for your aid.

I'm not really concerned about my safety, I can handle myself. But I have a friend... an animal friend. She's a catdeer and she answers to the name 'Mula'. If there are a lot of catdeer in this place, she'll be the one with a bedroll and small travel pack tied over her back. Please don't hurt her, she'll do you no harm. If she runs, that's okay. Just tell me where you saw her and I'll get her.

You were trying to explain how it worked and talking about swirls. Are you sure it isn't like using the elements? Air uses a lot of circular movements.

Nah, it's completely different. Like I said, you have to be completely still in order to even feel the natural chakra and absorb it.

Whaddaya mean about the circular movements though? When I use wind chakra, it's more like focusing my chakra into a sharp point.

I don't use my chakra to control the element. I just use them. They're a part of me. Like my arm but with air. It's easier to control it though, when I move with it in the same way that it moves naturally.

Kinda sounds like a bloodline trait or something, but I guess our worlds are a lot more different than just the no ramen thing. Lot of people where I'm from have certain types of chakra. I'm a wind-type. Some people can do more than just one like Kakashi-sensei. He can do all sorts of types.

Oh, no. No one is born with the ability to use the elements. They're granted by the Lionturtles that protect the human cities. Our worlds are really different if you're born with your ability to use elements and chakra like that. I wouldn't mind meeting you and seeing what yours is like, though.

[... Lionturtles? Shit, he'll just have to ignore that. He doesn't want to think of how that happened.]

Yeah, that'd be kinda cool! We're out at sea right now, but I think we're gonna head back to the island to stock up on some stuff soon. I'm Uzumaki Naruto, y'know! Nice to meetcha!

They don't look like the stars I'm used to seeing. Dunno 'bout yours though.

They are probably different than in my world, too. There's not a lot here that seems to be the same. Even the humans are really different in how they look. I can tell they're human, but they don't look like any humans I've met before.

[And then there was Korra and what he'd discovered talking to her. Which he was still recovering from. He was able to move now, but it disturbed him how exhausted using Raava's Spirit directly had made him. How much it hurt.]

Huh? Really? What's different about them? Humans in your world don't have like... three arms or something, do they?
