[Mitsunari's voice may not be a familiar one as he uses the journal so infrequently. Today he's actually bothering with it because he's realized there's a practical, productive use he can get out of the darn thing. What is that, you ask?
He can spread propaganda for a dead guy!]
"Hideyoshi Toyotomi."
If you have never before heard this name--my lord's name--commit it to memory immediately. You are no longer allowed to claim ignorance of his existence.
Lord Hideyoshi was an exemplary person. A paragon! His noble ambition was to unify the Land of the Rising Sun once and for all! Though his life was cruelly extinguished by Ieyasu Tokugawa, I am speaking now to ensure that his memory persists.
When you hear that name, understand that it commands respect! Know it belonged to a man whose magnificence will never, in all of time, be matched by another!
...
And if you are aware of my lord's works and still choose not to acknowledge his greatness, know that your behavior is absolutely unconscionable!
[So! ...Any questions?]

[voice]
Are you finished? Because I really hope you are. One lord from one plane who wanted to unite one little kingdom is no different from any other in the grand scheme of things. If he's dead, then he's dead and it's probably better for the common folk that he is.
[voice]
[He should have expected that his little PSA wouldn't go over the way he was hoping it to.]
[voice]
[Her voice is totally calm, actually somewhat amused, and there's a hint of mocking laughter in the background.]
I'll say it again: do everyone here a favor and shut up about kings and nobles. One's no better than any other.
[voice]
Silence! They are not all the same! It is indescribably ignorant to believe so!
But that idiotic statement is nothing next to claiming that my lord is better dead. For that, you ought to die!
["Rabid dog" may not be all that far off the mark.]
[voice]
You're welcome to try and make that happen, dog. I've killed more than a few kings and their loyal puppies.
[She is a really nasty person at heart.]
And your lord is probably better dead, not only for the common folks, but probably for himself too. If he's got an imbecile like you embarrassing him like this.
What did you expect to accomplish telling a bunch of pirates about your great and noble master?
[voice]
...I am not...
I have not embarrassed my lord! He's not better off-- [Nope, can't finish that sentence.]
Never again say such a thing!
[Hideyoshi would be proud of this effort he's made, he's sure of it...]
It matters not how many kings you've slain! I am going to hunt you down and kill you! Drop dead!
[Suffice to say, Chandra's hit a sore point.]
[voice]
He's better off dead.
And you're going to hunt me down and kill me, huh? [Oh if you could see her smiling right now...]
You're more than welcome to try, but I'll put you down like a rapid dog. It'll be fun watching you burn.
[And then she closes the book, taking the last word with another mocking laugh.]
