[The Doctor's script is slow and deliberate, like he's waiting on something unpleasant to finish that he just can't rush. He's got a question that's more idle curiosity than anything pressing, but one he'd like answered. After all, he's got to wait on the glue to dry on his little project, and may as well see if anyone might have any bright ideas.
Because being at sea is fairly boring. And there is a distinct lack of music, so may as well fill it with idle chatter.]
So, life on a ship. Dreadfully boring when there's nothing going on yes? Yes.
Well, I've gotten a bit bored and I could use some suggestions on ways to entertain myself between projects. And I thought that...well...perhaps some of you fine people might have some ideas, preferably nonviolent or lethal ones, on how that could happen.
Suggestions appreciated.
Regards,
The Doctor

Her handwriting is also script, but in red, and not so slow. It's quite legible.]
Is that truly how you wish to be addressed?
As for entertainment, I can recommend stocking up on literature, if you do not have any aboard. There is also Truth or Dare.
[Voice]
Yes, it is. I'm the Doctor and that's all there is to it.
[Books will come later...or his rant about the lack thereof available in this world.]
[written]
So be it.
Now, what of my other suggestions?

[At least not when you are the oldest brother and get to prank 1600 idiots into doing your bidding.]
[Sweet sweet free entertainment.]
[Quick, let's come up with a prank to troll Ace with.]

When I am not busy with my shipboard duties, I keep up a correspondence with friends I have made both on the island and through this journal. It helps to pass the time as well as allowing me to learn more about other customs and other places.
Perhaps you should find a few such individuals? I would be happy to write to you, if you are interested. My usual method is to select a blank page nearer to the back of the journal and simply begin a back-and-forth communication as if actually sending letters to one another.
I would be delighted to converse with you, Doctor, especially if you know anything about healing.

[He can get behind that. Despite the shortness of his reply, anyway.]

Would that entertain you, Doctor?

I guess nunchaku training is violent... How bout guitar?
[voice]
[There's a grin hidden in there somewhere.]
Guitar? Oh I'm dreadful, really. Piano I can do, but I'm afraid I haven't got the eat for guitar. Unless of course you'd want music that could wake the dead.

She's bored, and her mind is teeming with ideas. Plus, it'd be nice to speak to him again - he seemed perfectly able to hold a decent conversation.]
Doctor?
Still looking for suggestions?
[She carries with her a board and a jar filled with little round buttons.]
Works for me!
Hullo Lara. Come in, come in.
[He nods and flashes a congenial smile.]
'Course I am. What've you got for me?
Action;
Hey, Doctor. I've got somethin' you could gear yourself up for.

And what's that?
