[Xun Yu looks up at the thud, and raises her eyebrows at him.]

I'm sure that you do.

[She says primly, setting down her pen.]

[The Grim Reaper steps farther into the room, folding his arms as he does.]

And? That's all you've got to say...?

What do you hope for? A verbal repetition? Clarification?

[Xun Yu's not about to be intimidated into backing down.]

While I don't begrudge you a full day of irrepressible happiness, that curse was undeniably sinister. You were hardly yourself.

[She hasn't even named him, or shared any real details of that day. She didn't have to do him the courtesy -- but perhaps he doesn't understand that.]

Did you know that your eyes can sparkle brilliantly?

[Of course he doesn't─ what Ragna focuses on is the fact she even dared to mention that day at all, and in relevance to him nonetheless.]

[His eyes widen at that last statement, and he finds himself at a loss for words for a moment. That sort of comment was... unexpected, especially with how hard the man has been trying to forget everything he did on that day. A few seconds later his surprised expression is replaced with a scowl as he glares daggers at Xun Yu.]

... Don't screw around with me. That crap never happened, got it?

[It's mildly satisfying to see Ragna flabbergasted, although the feeling lasts only as long as Ragna's silence does. She frowns right back at him.]

You have no place dictating what I acknowledge.

[Her tone is sharp; his rudeness has a way of getting under her skin.]

[God, what he wouldn't do for a phenomena intervention right now. Seriously, that day needs to be erased from the pages of history.]

I do if it concerns me!

[Ragna raises his voice, even if it's not necessary. He's already pissed off because of what happened to him, but this conversation certainly isn't helping.]

[He can raise his voice all he wants -- she keeps her volume steady, even if her frustration is clear. How hard is it not to act like a child throwing a tantrum?]

Why can't you just ask like a civilised person?

[Impossible when Ragna is involved.]

Who the hell said anything 'bout asking?

["Asking" for things is, in his case, the last resort. Before that come demands, threats and use of violence.]

Then we are done here.

[She's putting her foot down, rather than engaging Ragna on his terms. Xun Yu picks up her pen and turns her attention back to her journal and her records, apparently planning to ignore him.]

[Oh, now she's done it.]

And now you're ignoring me?!

[The man is practically yelling at this point, though it's pretty obvious he doesn't even have anything to prove. He's just too stubborn to let it go.]

[YES, SHE'S IGNORING YOU, RAGNA.

Her tight grip on her pen and the slightly tense edge to her expression are her only concessions. Otherwise she merely reads and writes without reacting to him.]

[The Grim Reaper spins around and storms out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Such maturity. Much adult. Wow.]

[The moment the door slams shut Xun Yu raises her free hand to rub at her forehead.

That was badly handled, admittedly on both their parts. Mostly his, but she knows that at some point she'll face consequences for worsening their relationship over his disrespectful manner. It's not even as though she is planning to speak of that day again, beyond her vague journal entry. Technically she could have just agreed to keep for the sake of peace. But Ragna is an adult and he needs to learn the difference between demanding and requesting.

It's too bad that he refuses to take a hint.]
