If you're talking about Mr. Ragna, it felt as though he was possessed. We could have exorcised him and I'm certain ghosts would've come pouring out of his mouth.

[After the entry appears in the journals, it doesn't take longer than a few minutes for Ragna to find Xun Yu on the ship. Once he arrives, he doesn't announce himself with a knock, but rather drives his first into the nearby wall with a loud thud.]

Had he just been himself, only unusually happy, I could have handled it. But it was as though a stranger occupied his body. I foolishly imagined our natures to be safe from curses.

Are you and the Koumyou doing well now, Mitsuhide?

[Perhaps it's a little ruthless of her to tell Kodachi knowing that the young woman is likely to make use of the knowledge, but then again, she's certain that Ragna will have been rude enough to deserve it.]

Almost two months ago the Captain decided that the crew needed to bond, so when we docked at Port Chance we all shared a mandatory evening of drinking and storytelling meant to bring us closer. But things got off to a slow start because when it decided that the stories would be ghost stories, Ragna panicked and tried to escape. When his escape was blocked he still refused to settle down.

[Her explanation given, Xun Yu poses her own question.]

While I don't begrudge you a full day of irrepressible happiness, that curse was undeniably sinister. You were hardly yourself.

[She hasn't even named him, or shared any real details of that day. She didn't have to do him the courtesy -- but perhaps he doesn't understand that.]
