Since Selphie was reading love poetry, I started thinking about love again. How depressing, right? I'm beginning to think that being a pirate means not having manners or treating ladies with respect. Sure, there are some exceptions, but the things I've had to go through, honestly...

Do you think the perfect guy is really out there? My lord Ujiyasu would always say that my standards are too high, but what's wrong with high standards? If you set your standards too low, that's what you're going to be stuck with. That's what I think, at least.

They say that, but usually they're just trying to convince themselves that it's true.

[And then it falls on their best friends close acquaintances to try to convince them they need to say something and then it gets them depressed when it doesn't happen.]

I'm sure for some it is true. I mean I'd rather have my friends happiness before my own.

That's admirable, but you need to think about your own happiness sometimes.

I do, but what if seeing one be happy makes myself happy. In that way it works both ways.

It does, but that won't work forever! Eventually you're going to find yourself an old maid while everyone is busy being happy around you.

I don't think that would always be the case. I mean people do move on as well, right?

I guess what I mean is that people's feelings change over time sometimes. So if some do move on they'll find someone else eventually.

But not all sometimes. Which is kind of sad in a way, but understandable in others, I guess.

I thought it was happier. I mean I like my crew, some of them even make me happy. Does it mean you don't like your crew or something?

I don't dislike them...

[They aren't that bad, really, but given her general mood at the moment, she's coming up sort when it comes to their better qualities.]
