[Voice]
I think I understand how I came to be here. [There isn't much inflection in her voice.] Does anyone know about the Ouran Host Club? Or anyone named Tamaki?
[She isn't going to take out her anger on anyone but him. Surely this is his doing. He really went too far this time!]
My name is Haruhi Fujioka. I'm in Class 1-A and -
I just need directions. [A map would be wonderful!] Thank you very much.
[Now onto a part meant for only Tamaki's ears, though she has no clue how to make it private.]
Dad, I'm going to rebel.

[He looks up at her from his pillow and gives her a soft smile.]
..you and Kyouya won't disappear while I sleep, right?
[Haruhi's soft laughter and words caused a long and hearty laugh from the host club king.]
Yes, many hair colours indeed~!!!

He said I could have his room, but if you want us both to stay here, I don't mind.
[While the laughter is nice to hear, she is just imagining his ribs protesting.]
no subject
It would certainly make me happier~!
no subject
Then I'll sleep in here too.

[It's a calm, quiet promise. As long as Tamaki still wants both of them to stay, everything's fine. The time hasn't come. But it will, eventually.
He doesn't let himself visibly think about that.]
Do you need something to help you sleep? I have more laudanum.

[His tone was finally revealing the exhaustion his body had accumulated over the period that Kyouya and Haruhi had entered the room. Masking the pain and moving as if nothing was wrong truly exhausted the host club king's physical state. So he pushed his cheeks on the pillow and his eyes slowly closing. But he kept his violet orbs still watching over the two most important people in his life.]
No...[A brief yawn and a short flinch at the pain the yawn caused.] Having you two here is enough....

Her expression falls and she moves to sit down nearby.]
Sweet dreams. [Everything else can wait. It's strange how important these two have become to her, but she can't deny that she doesn't want to be anywhere else but here.]

[Kyouya says it calmly, very evenly. A mild drone of conversation, in a way. Nothing that will keep Tamaki awake.]
The medical equipment available here -- at least what I've been able to obtain -- is roughly that of the western world circa eighteen-hundred. Some things are older, some newer, but in general...
[A shrug. He's a poor excuse for a doctor, no real training at all, and yet he's the most qualified of them all.]

[Besides, she trusts Kyouya will be appropriate with the dosages.]
We really are in the past.

[He sighs, taking a seat at the desk.]
The whole thing is like one of Renge's manga. A group of people are pulled by a spirit into another world, one they're ill suited for, and have to collect a magical artifact to get back.
Except that unlike in a manga... there's real blood. Real lives on the line.
[Sugarcoating it won't help anyone. So, he won't even try.]

[She grimaces and sits back, taking a deep breath.]
Dad is going to be so worried.

[It's the only good news he's gotten in a long time, actually.]
We're looking for a jewel. It's made up of several small, red shards that have been scattered. Apparently, once whole, it has the power to grant a wish.

…mm. Sounds like something out of a fairytale.

The difference between knowing something and having to acknowledge it.

It's better if they don't.
