[ Weiss has been keeping to herself for a few days, really only having spoken with Ruby and Jaune so far.. but this situation has come to a climax. She can't take it anymore. She has to do something! Even if it means acknowledging the other people who may or may not actually be pirates. ]
I'm going to ask you all a question and one of you had better have an answer! Is there anywhere in this place to sleep that isn't full of smelly drunkards? Maybe a place with an ice machine that looks a little more like it's got zero chance of bugs.
[ Weiss's tone is dead serious. She has absolutely no tolerance for this quality of rooming. Bunk beds, dorm rooms? Fine. They're clean, warm, and more than comfortable at the top school for huntresses and hunters. They definitely aren't situated over a noisy bar. The other option was to actually get a ship and she wasn't going to deal with a tiny little dinghy-- that would probably be worse than the room. ]
I know my standards can be a little high sometimes... but there is absolutely no way I'm staying in a place that's not even fit for animals for one more night. [ The last three words are punctuated to emphasize her point. ]

[ She heard the legend, but it seems a little ridiculous to just accept it without any proof to her. ]
There has to be a more reliable way to get home than some fairy tale.
[ Says the girl whose name translates to White Snow.. ]

Re: [voice]
It's the only lead we've got, so maybe you should quit whining and hop to it rather than sitting around complaining.

Re: [voice]
Sad, really.
[voice]
[ Maybe not the exact same situation, but she didn't question her own ideas about things before in regards to an entire group of people just because of things she'd heard and people she knew went missing. That was a big mistake. ]
Re: [voice]
I gave my advice on how to survive here and you snubbed it because it wasn't good enough for you. And we're not speaking of some religious relic or matter of faith. I need to stress that there is no other information yet. You have a choice between something that might not exist or an option that literally does not exist. Zero and Less than One. Those are your choices and when adults are faced with that sort of decision, they don't needlessly rebel against the grain just because it makes their petty morals feel better! We work with what we are given until something better is obtainable. And right now, something better is just a wishdream of the deluded.
If you want to question it, by my guest, but don't slap a helping hand away just because it told you something you didn't want to hear, you little brat!
[voice]
[ Anymore, anyway... but this person doesn't need to know that. ]

Re: [voice]
I apologize.

..Thank you.
Re: [voice]
Allow me to introduce myself, so that we might get a better start. I am Soga no Tojiko, chief consort of Crown Prince Kamitsumiya no Umayado no Toyotomimi no Mikoto, ruler of All Japan.

[ Though Weiss really isn't sure exactly what Japan is, but from context clues she can guess it's probably a kingdom like Vale or Mistral. ]
Re: [ voice ]
Though it should be said more kindly, I do stand by my original assertion. There is much undesirable about this place, but one can turn it around in a positive direction if one is willing.
[ voice ]
From what I've heard, the ships are a lot nicer than the inns. That should be a start, but I don't think most crews are going to accept three people at once and there's only one I've heard of so far that sounds remotely acceptable.
Re: [ voice ]
I can only presume you mean the Shepards, given your aforementioned aversion to piracy.
[ voice ]
Yes, that's them. I have to discuss it with Ruby and Jaune before I end up on any ship, though.
Re: [ voice ]
The Shepards are... Well, if I am to be honest, I am not fond of moralists, especially in a world where such thinking is needlessly dangerous. But they are good people. I had a chance to fight by their side in the battle that freed Isla Empezia.
[ voice ]
[ Weiss figures she must be, given her attitude earlier about getting a move on. ]

Shut up Weiss all your names in your world are fairy tale characters. At least she doesn't sound like she's trying to be rude and sarcastic just.. a little disbelieving. ]Re: [ voice ]
Well. Yes. It's a bit unusual.
