For all you pirates out there, what did you lot do before you came here? Occupations, careers, whatever. I need to know what freedom you're fighting for, let's just say.

More than words can properly express. It's damned hard for a man to make a name for himself in a place where he has to share his name with another.

[At least the other Motochika isn't a pirate, but still...he doesn't want to be confused with him. What with all his shamisen playing and collecting bratty teenagers and being practically married to Mitsuhide of all people.]

Try re-becoming a marine when there isn't exactly a means to re-enter the academy or even exchange diplomacy with the brass.

It's hard for any man to properly establish himself in this place. We don't have the reputations we've earned and there are so many young people about with no respect for their elders and betters.
