I apologise for my lengthy absence. I'm afraid I became rather ill, one of the symptoms being a severe case of fatigue. [What he isn't saying is how -- by combining low blood pressure with voluntary bloodloss, which led to anaemia. No one else needs to know any of that.] I've been trying to keep tabs on what's happened, but I may have missed some things, I admit.

It seems we're in quite a bit of trouble, aren't we?

On that note, if the crew of the Antoinette could please join me on the top deck, there's something very important we need to discuss. Thank you.

I suppose there would be different standards, would there not, for when she would accommodate other captains and when she would do so with her crew.

Fair enough, but I was not merely speaking from personal experiences, but from those that I have observed in passing.

I've found that observations made in passing often lack context. They can be accurate, certainly, but they can also be an exception rather than a rule.

Perhaps she merely has a hard time warming up to certain individuals. I was not so dissimilar just a few years ago. Then again, perhaps she merely has a different set of ideals.

Enough about this though, I was meaning to speak to you of the upcoming infiltration of Impezia, and possible alliances your crew might form for such an undertaking. I thought it best if I speak through you as you were once a former member of the shepherds, and perhaps you might serve as a suitable bridge between the divide in our crews. Many distrust the Shepherds thanks to the position I take against piracy, but that does not mean I wish to simply stand by and let the innocent come to harm.
