THIS WORLD SUCKS!!!

[For someone that's been forced to write in a diary for the past seven years, Luke's handwriting sure does look like cheagle scratch. It doesn't help that he's fed up and annoyed, which only serves to make his already crappy handwriting that much worse.]

I used to love the ocean, but I can't stand it any more! All we ever do is sail over here, get attacked by giant moths, sail over here, lose some crew members in a fog, sail over here, pick up some brats. It's so damn boring, and now we're going back to that stupid island we started out from again!? Even though everyone said we should get off of there as soon as possible?!

I hate this! I want something different to do!

Maybe you don't know how to make the most of it. If you're bored, find your own shit to entertain yourself with. Get a hobby or something so you won't go around bitching and moaning.

You gotta answer that question for yourself bro. Do shit that'll keep your focus, which you appear to lack. If you sit around without making goals for yourself, you'll go fucking crazy in no time. Which looks like you've already hit that point so you know what I'm talking about.

Your focusing on the wrong shit then, or you're just stupid. If you're not stupid, then you should be focusing on what you want to accomplish in this world. So, tell me. What do you want out of this place?

Not only is it a captain's job to make sure their crew knows their goals and exactly what they're doing, but also to keep everyone busy so they don't start going crazy out at sea. Have you tried talking to yours about it?

[No, Piers actually does talk over things with the crew. Luke just doesn't listen.]

Hmph... what's the point? We're just going to keep doing the same damn thing anyway.

The point is getting yourself a goal here so you're motivated to do more than just bitch. Everyone has the capacity to get off their ass and do something just as well as they have the capacity to bitch about nothing to do, and when the effort's put in sometimes the former can even out weigh the latter.

[Cue a frustrated noise.]

No shit. And it's going to continue to suck until you do something about it yourself. Nothing's going to change if you keep doing the same shit you're doing now. If you don't like something, you have to make it change because no one else is going to magically do it for you.

That just means you're gonna have to put on your big boy panties and suck it the fuck up. People won't listen to you if you do nothing but complain, that's just how it is. In the real world, you've got to earn that shit because if you expect it to be handed to you, you're going to be sorely fucking disappointed and more than likely looked down upon for acting like a demanding brat.

I'd say there's a ninety-seven percent chance that whatever flows from me is going end up sounding rude, yeah. Especially if it's shit someone doesn't want to hear, because no matter how it's said if it's something you don't want to deal with it's going to piss you off. And I've got a habit of telling people what they don't want to hear, which just so happens to be the truth nine times out of ten.

S-sheesh... all right fine, I'll... think about it at least, dammit.
