Okay! I asked some questions of the people around the Island and read the entry that appeared in my journal first. I went to that funny statue too. I think I'm prepared to do this now.
Hello everyone. It feels strange writing in a journal that other people can see, but it's a familiar thing at least. Almost comforting. I hope that other people feel that way about it too.
My name is Nitori Aiichiro. I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. I have all this information, but that doesn't tell me much about how someone who doesn't know how to sail can possibly join a pirate crew.
I know how to swim! That's not really useful once you're really far out in the ocean, is it? I mean, unless someone falls overboard. Or you have to dive to look for the treasure. I'm good at cooking too. Everyone has to eat, even on ships, right?
I wish Matsuoka-senpai were here to help me organize my thoughts. He's really good at pointing out what I'm capable of. But I can do this! I can totally handle this situation, even if it's really weird. There's no reason whatsoever to just give up. I'll just find a crew and then
Wait. Everyone can see this. I forgot and gave myself a pep talk. Oh no, that's so embarrassing! Maybe I'll just wait for an answer now.

Re: [Voice]
[He laughs softly.]
He doesn't always listen to me very well.

Re: [Voice]
[Pause.]
Wait, can just anyone hear this?
[Voice]
Anyway, I talked to Mitsuhide once and he seemed really, really nice, so I'm sure he's working hard to keep an eye on Rin.
Re: [Voice]
[He sounds a little nervous.]
What else do you know about them? His shipmates?
[Voice]
I don't know much about his shipmates, really, except that they're good people and they look out for him! Mitsuhide seems like the sort of guy who thinks a lot and makes himself worried and I don't think I've ever talked to Motochika, but Mitsuhide says he's very dashing and brave!
Re: [Voice]
[Somehow he doesn't really think it works that way.
Her description is pretty much what Aiichiro thought too, but he's distracted by the moral question here.]

Re: [Voice]
I wouldn't want him to think that I was... not on his side or something though. He's my senpai.
[He says it like that obviously means he should always defend Rin.]

Re: [Voice]
[He perks up quite a bit at that.]
At least I'll get to spend plenty of time with him here! And I'll learn how to sail, and I know how to do a few useful things, and...
[He laughs.]
I think I'm going to be fine. Thanks for the reassurance.

Re: [Voice]
Wait! You didn't introduce yourself!

[The -chan is automatic, on this one, really.]
