Alright everyone. I'm here to offer a bit of advice regarding the recent events.

First order of business: Kindly do not engage these restless spirits, or taunt them. At most they should be warded off or avoided, as--from what I've gathered--coming into contact with them may turn you into some sort of creature. Doing anything else will invite trouble.

Whether you might believe it or not, this is the time of year when the boundary between worlds hardly exists. Unless one truly knows what one is doing, it's always better--much safer--for those walking on this plane of reality not to tamper with any other. Alive or, ah, undead, leave the dead to their own devices.

[England clears his throat--] Second order of business...

Imagine my surprise when I spied a flash of lightning in the distance and its source wasn't in the clouds from any kind of storm. And then I'd heard word that it was in truth a purposeful act.

Most of us are at sea now, first on wooden ships and second on wooden ships with large amounts of dry gunpowder. Adding electricity to the already humid and volatile ocean air is a recipe for certain disaster. I myself have used spells and magic for centuries, and I'm sorry to say it matters not how skilled anyone may be, I'm fairly certain their shipmates would like not to die in a fiery explosion somebody caused out of sheer recklessness.
I would also like to add that many fae, spirits and spectres take energy from electricity, provided either by man-made devices, magic, or storms. It's not worth the risk.

Please, everyone: Leave them be. Use iron to guard yourselves and if you've a competent user of magic aboard, have them assist you in this endeavour using barriers and protective spells.

In the event that you are shifted into a creature, seek assistance and inform your captain. If you're the captain yourself, inform someone you trust. This needn't be worse than it already is, as long as the proper care is taken and nobody feels like being dramatic.

I'm overdue for a bloody good cup of tea.

If anyone on the Triton's Mistress requires magical assistance, please contact me--Arthur Kirkland, Quartermaster. Unless it's an injury, I will be accepting payment and trade of goods and services for my help.

Thank you.

I just...don't wanna risk finding out, either way. They already killed one of our crew.

*There's a pause while Selphie takes a deep breath, and sighs heavily*

If I could find one, then yeah, that'd be a good idea...
