Yo-ho, yo-ho and all that piratey bullshit. Getting that aside, how does one volunteer themselves for a crew? I'm already good to go. Not a sailor, but anybody willing to take me will get a hard-working, quick-learning gal looking for a way to get the hell out of here.
Is that enough of a resumé?
Seriously, though. This island is not a place I want to stay. I'm definitely willing to work and I could use some friendly acquaintances or good conversation while I work on getting my bearings. All takers should respond here directly and/or include crude doodles at your own childish discretion.
[ ooc: Please take a look at Misha's permissions, too! ]

Are included there people who fancy ripped faces as wall decorations?
[Not that anyone here does it, as far as he knows.]
I don't think any crew would claim to do just that, but if you want nothing to do with that, it's better to steer clear from those who are "willing to do anything". Though I'm sure all crews won't shy on violence if they are attacked first.
Regarding the Navy... For them we're unlicensed people who belong to nowhere, running around their world looking for some treasure rumored to be quite powerful. We're pirates, no matter what we do or what we intent, and they chase us like they chase the other pirate ships of this world.
I wouldn't recommend trying to speak reason with them.

[ There's a pause as she takes that last part in. It sounds hilariously sucky, but there doesn't seem to be much to change it and hell if she doesn't completely understand dumb status quos. ]
How fun. Do we get to lead them on merry chases and have cannon battles?
[ Note: only a very small part of her sounds sincere. ]

[There's a chuckle at her last comment.]
Yes, while an orchestra plays some stupid tune that gets stuck in your head.
Now, seriously, if you are smart you won't do that. People are inexperienced enough with just sailing, adding sea battles against people who are isn't a good formula.

[He chuckles before he answers her question.]
Skill and experience. Which is why it's why if you, and the captain you end with, are smart you will do all in your hand to avoid them. So far the Dog has been giving us some information about where they are hanging so we at least have a general idea of where not to go. Though that doesn't mean that all of the Navy is at the same place.
The point is, that unless you want a tight, abrasive new collar made of rope on your neck, you will avoid the Navy no matter what.
