[He'd be damned if he started speaking to a bloody book at this rate. He was already feeling crazy enough as it was. Instead, he;d managed to procure a quill and ink and was now scribbling in the page of the journal, not far from the fountain where he'd woken up not all that long ago. His rum was long gone, leaving him querulous and with a furious headache that blackened his mood even further.]

I'm having a hard time believing that I am once more trapped in Davy Jones' Locker again. The last time I was there, it was by far less hospitable and populated than this place is. I doubt Will Turner has done much in such a short time to turn it around either.

[He trails off writing for a moment, and a small blotch of ink shows evidence of his thinking before he starts up again.]

I haven't seen the Pearl nor heard tell of her being here, so I can only assume she did not end up here again and I don't see myself getting out of this mess without Jack.

Your world must be quite advanced if it is using such things then. I take it this place we're at does not meet similar standards?

Ah, this is beginning to make sense then... Well as much as anything seems around here at least. I'll tell you now a ship a proper sailing ship is easy to sail so long as you've got a good crew and a captain who knows his business.

Don't get me wrong, this has a certain enjoyment to it. The modern world is too busy, too noisy, too smelly.

You've yet to be on a ship with a crew of men all sweating together. Unless a rain comes, they'll soon be ... fragrant enough.

[Gibbs thinks about it a minute, making faces that cannot be seen as he ponders it out, then shrugs and nods in agreement, forgetting that he cannot be seen by the person he is talking to.]

Aye, I can agree to that. They can be a bit hard on the nose indeed what with all manner of messing and things going on. At least the salt air of the sea is refreshing.
