You advised a little girl that we should draw butts on his posts, did you not? I must confess that advice made me laugh despite my better judgement.

[he doesn't really get how she speaks, but that's alright. He kind of understands anyway]

You can draw one, too, if you want. [though he doesn't think she will]

You know Ace?

I know that Ace is your brother and that you think quite a lot of him despite being so eager to pull pranks upon him.

That is a sentiment that I fully understand as I, too, have an older brother. It is the duty of younger siblings to love our big brothers and to bedevil them as much as possible.

Ehh? [he laughs] You're pretty smart. [she must watch people closely like Robin does a lot]

It's okay because Ace is really strong and it's really funny to make him mad. [a pause and then]

Is your brother here, too?

[Elissa clears her throat and her voice is quieter when she responds. She does tend to pay closer attention to journal interactions than most people.]

No, he is not. Truth be told, I am not certain he lives as we were separated by war and I had not managed to find him before I was brought here. Still, reading and listening to your words about Ace makes me smile and brings back good memories of Fergus.

[he smiles at that. He and Ace had been separated, too, by the sea and adventure, but since they'd chosen it, it wasn't so hard. It had only been hard when he thought they would kill him--because a ship without Ace was one thing but a world without Ace-- that was just too hard to think about]

Na...You should come to our party.

[she'd have a good time and maybe make some great memories there. Maybe she could even find people that could be like a family to her. It wouldn't be the same as having her brother, maybe, but at least she could laugh]

[This time, her smile is in her voice.]

If I am free of duty and we have not yet gone back to sea, I shall come. You have my word.

shishishi If you're not free of duty I can come kidnap you!

[that's always fun and then she'd have an excuse to be away]

[Laughter bubbles up out of Elissa before she can stop it.]

You must not think much of me or my crew to imagine that can be easy! If I can be there, I shall.

Maybe your crew is strong, but I'm the man whose going to be Pirate King, if I can't even kidnap someone to come have fun, then I definitely need to get stronger.

[but he feels it's more than just needing to be on duty that makes her say that. She's probably really loyal and he likes that about her]

But okay! If not I'll save some boar for you! [well maybe a small slice of boar]

...If you are serving boar, then I shall try doubly hard to attend. Tis one of my favorite things to eat. Perhaps we can discuss boar hunting at the party.

It's boar valley so there are boar everywhere! They're really angry though but that's what makes it fun!

Indeed! That is why one must be careful when hunting them. Perhaps you should explain that to those with no knowledge of the beasts? Twould not be good for someone to be gored or worse simply for coming to a celebration with no idea of the dangers of their surroundings.

If you have been attentive to the journal, you know there are many who are ignorant of the more dangerous side of life. Not everyone is as adventuresome as you are, dear Luffy.

Yeah I think that one grumpy guy is doing that. Anyway, don't worry. If any boars show up I'll send 'em flying.

Spears are best for hunting them - boar spears made 'specially for the event. However, if I am able to attend, I shall have my swords and would be glad to assist in a hunt. My ability to evade attacks would serve me well in such a hunt without the traditional weaponry.

Plus, the more we kill, the more we eat.

Spears are pretty cool! I don't use stuff like that, though, I just punch them.

We'll have to get a lot of them.

[Elissa has to think about that for a moment. She is not certain even Sten could stop a boar without a weapon and he was the largest person she had ever met before coming to this place. The voice she is hearing over the journal does not at all fit with how she thinks a large person should sound.]

There is one amongst my crew... [Elissa is careful not to reveal too much about those that work with her.] Who is extremely tall and strong. As he killed a sea serpent alone and with his bare hands, I suppose that a boar could be killed with a fist. Tis just that I had not pictured you to be so large as my crew mate.

[The Warden is now rather confused, but she is learning there are people with strange powers and abilities in this place. Still, trying to picture Luffy's voice coming out of someone as big as Sir Crocodile is difficult.]

Oh you mean like Crocodile did? [eager now] Did you eat it? Was it tasty?

[No need to protect the man's name now. Elissa had forgotten that his victory was heard over the journal. It makes her laugh just a little.]

Yes, like Ser Crocodile. I was rather unhappy with him as he killed the creature, but refused to clean it. It was large. He is large. It seemed only fitting.

Instead, I was the one stuck beheading and gutting the thing - though he did at least consent to help with holding it over the railing so the deck was spared a bath of blood and guts. Its taste was different, but interesting once we had ascertained that it was not poisonous to us. With Ser Crocodile's help, the majority of the beast was dried for storage.

Crocodile's a jerk.

[It's good that he helped but Luffy doesn't know if he helped because he wanted to or because he had to. Either way he's still a jerk. Still...]

We didn't see any sea monsters. I really wanna find one.

I doubt you shall do that while on this island. Sailing might be a better way to find one.

haha yeah! The only thing here are boars! But we're gonna be back on the sea soon and then maybe we'll find a big one.
